HUGE OCEANFRONT LANAI - BREATHTAKING VIEWS!

We stayed at Chick and Cookie's for two weeks in March of 2013. The whole experience was very pleasant. The owners are very easy to work with and very responsive to questions and inquiries. The house is located on a peninsula with views of the open ocean, Goat Island and Hukilau Beach. We especially liked the long and spacious lanai, where we spent most of our time when we weren't exploring the area. Hukilau beach is uncrowded and Laie seems a world away from Honolulu. The kiteboarding and surfing is good and we had whale sittings from the lanai and Laie Point most days. There is also a more private beach on the backside of the peninsula. Don't know the name but we dubbed it Proposal Beach because my son proposed while we were there. (She said yes) The neighborhood is quiet and the people friendly. The house had plenty of room for six adults and had all the items needed to eat in and cook. It has beautiful hardwood floors and an outside warm shower for cleaning sand off as well as a washer/dryer and barbecue. It is about a block from Foodland which if you get the Makai card is pretty reasonable price wise for Hawaii. The house is walking distance to beaches, the Polynesian Cultural Center and a few small restaurants. Laie Falls hike is close which we recommend and the trip out to Goat Island is also fun. take a picnic! The PCC was great and the LDS temple visitor's center is worth a trip. There is nice dining in Haleiwa and for a quick bite we recommend 7 Brothers in Laie or the Kahuku Grill and Tita's in Kahuku. It is a short drive to Sunset Beach and Waimea Bay. This is a great spot for a family stay or North Shore adventure base and the house was just right. Thanks to Chick and Cookie for sharing! Pete and Ami

The property was just as advertised. Well stocked and well maintained. Great location, wonderful lanai, excellent kitchen. We grilled out on the lanai every other night. Loved listening to the ocean every night. We logged into our office every day for a few hours and the wifi was fast and consistent.

We stayed for a month and felt like kama'aina (locals).

This place is good for your soul.

Whether you want to relax on the lanai all day, or get out and go, this is a fantastic location!

The four of us had an absolutely wonderful stay these last two weeks at your home in Oahu. The location, right over the ocean in a quiet neighborhood but convenient to shopping and transit, could not be beat, and views from the lanai of the shore and bay were so beautiful. We really appreciate how the house is designed to let the trade winds flow through the whole structure, so that everyone is always comfortable no matter what the time or temperature. We found the house to be clean, well maintained, spacious and charmingly decorated in the Aloha spirt. The kitchen is nicely updated and so great to have laundry facilities right on site just off the garage. There were more than enough linens and towels, and staples such as paper towels, toilet paper, soap, etc, plus boogie boards and snorkel gear!
