VERY NICE MOUNTAIN HOME ON YEAR ROUND CREEK

Quincy House Rental Photos and Description

House, 2 Bedrooms + Office, 2 Baths, (Sleeps 4)

This Meadow Valley private mountain house is on nearly Three acres that has creek frontage year round (the creek will put you to sleep) and the Plumas National Forest. There are many trails leaving from the property into the forest.

Bring your horses, because there is over an acre fenced for them. Storing the boat or horse trailer during your stay is not a problem. There are many top-notch lakes (7 miles to Bucks Lake) for boating, fishing, beautiful golf courses (45 minutes to Graeagle - 4 world class golf courses) hunting, or any type of recreation minutes away.

The house is about 2 hours north west of Reno or 1 1/2 hours north east of Oroville, CA. Every inch of this 2,000 square foot home is very comfortable and feels very homey... The bathrooms are small as is the kitchen, but everything works nice...

This unique private estate, is tucked off the main road (Bucks Lake Hwy) in a park-like setting of beautiful trees and openness - offering visitors privacy and seclusion not found in many properties.

RIVER WILD ...

A completely wonderful experience set in the serenity of the Sierra Mountains. At 3800 feet, you will be located in the middle of two main destinations; Quincy, or, Bucks Lake. Quincy, just 15 minutes away, has a Safeway and Rite-Aid stores. Also, dine out at Pangea along Main Street. Bucks is loaded with boats, food and fun.

At night you'll sleep like a child to the comforting sounds of Meadow Creek purring by in the background.

Just make sure you book an entire week -- you won't regret it!

Peace and Love ...

HIKER'S PARADISE

Hiker's Paradise

My wife and I stayed here for the second time this last May, and we will definitely be staying a third time. The house is nice, cozy, and perfect for a couple of people to lounge around and enjoy the Sierras. It's nestled in the town of Meadow Valley, which has to be one of the most beautiful places I have ever visited. The property is within walking distance to many dirt roads/trails that are perfect for hikers and bikers. There are even more trails within biking distance that are so much fun to explore.

The listing was very accurate, and the property/residence was well maintained and very clean. The owner is such a delight to work with, and it seems as though he will go to any extreme to make sure you are comfortable and enjoy your stay. I would definitely recommend this vacation rental to anyone I know.

As for nearby attractions, the whole area is an attraction. There are a multitude of lakes within 15 miles of the house (Bucks Lake, Snake Lake, Silver Lake just to name a few), and as stated before, miles and miles of hiking trails that go throughout the Plumas National Forest. We stayed for a full seven days, and I still feel as though we barely scratched the surface of what there is to explore.

Meadow Valley is such a nice, quiet, relaxing locale, and has quickly become one of my favorite places to visit.

One thing of note is that if you are on the AT&T cell phone network, you will have no service. For some this may be a problem, but for me it really sweetens the deal as it allows me to truly relax and enjoy myself without the constant bombardment of electronic communications we have grown so accustomed to.

If you are looking for a Sierra vacation and have found this listing, your search has ended. This is the place you need to stay. Honestly, I wish I was there right now.

GREAT LOCATION!

  • 5 of 5
We spent a weekend with our three dogs hiking around the Quincy/Bucks Lake areas and this house was great. Even though it is in a neighborhood it is very private. Our dogs were able to run around outdoors without bothering anyone. Walking down to the creek just behind the house was great too. The house is large and rustic but charming. It would be perfect for a family.

A ROMANTIC GETAWAY

  • 5 of 5
We came for a four day getaway and the property was better than we could of asked for. It is rustic, very clean. But for us Very Romantic, with the fire, and very light snow the atmosphere was a very intimate four days - we needed this, Thank-You. It is a perfect place for a anyone going into the Quincy / Bucks Lake Area.

Again Thank-You For Everything, Linda

WONDERFUL STAY!

  • 5 of 5
We came for a Thanksgiving family celebration and the property suited us fine. It is rustic and since we live in the city, the atmosphere lent a more intimate atmosphere. Rene was responsive and even had relaxing music on when we arrived! Our well behaved dog was welcome and although a bit arthritic, had no problems going up and down the stairs. It is a perfect place for a family of 4. It is close to town and if you do not feel like cooking, there are nice, homey restaurants around.
