New Years Escape

SP1 New York
Review Submitted: February 1, 2010 Date of Stay: December 2009
We had the best time at Cynthia's beautiful home over New Years weekend. The house itself was super relaxing and cute and the area is also great. Very close to great skiing and dining! Cynthia was also a pleasure to deal with - very thoughtful, accommodating and friendly. Highly recommended for a weekend getaway away from the city!

We had a fabulous vacation in Blakeslee. The house was comfortable, with all amenities, the lake and surrounding area was quiet and serene. My kids had a blast playing ball and frisbee on your huge property! I would highly recommend your home to families and couples alike!

Last Week In August-Great Time

Review Submitted: October 23, 2009 Date of Stay: August 2009
Sorry it took so long to give a well deserved 5 star review. We were a family of 4 adults and two young children. We couldn't beleive how perfect the house was. It had everything you need. The look from the huge deck to the lake, was beautiful. We had many nice, relaxing, conoe rides. The whole setting is very calming. Kids had a great time at the sandy beach, swimming and playing on the swings. The guys and and the seven year old girl, cought a number of large bass, pickeral, crappies and sunfish, on the damn. We never saw so many deer, turkeys and even a fox before. Anything you forgot to bring or need, can be found within 2miles of the place. We'll be back. Thank you so much.

PS What a nice surprise when we opened the door, a large fruit basket with snacks and juice boxes for the kids. Nice touch

We had a great stay in the Poconos. The house was roomier than expected. With a bathroom attached to each bedroom, everyone had their own space. We enjoyed the lake and the wildlife every day. Cynthia was very accommodating during the entire process. Highly recommended. Thanks again!

GREAT FUN

Deer Cynthia Lakewood, New Jersey
Review Submitted: August 25, 2009 Date of Stay: August 2009
We had a wonderful time and the kids liked the big back yard and the lake. They even dipped their feet in even though they couldn't swim from the dock. The house was clean and cozy and the outside was clean and comfortable. We spent a lot of time in the backyard and became good friends with your pet deer.
Recommended for:  Age 55+, Girls Getaway, Families with Teenagers, Families with Young Children, Romantic Getaway
Owner's Response: One of the added benefits of vacationing in the Poconos is all the wild life that lives there. Every day there are families of deer and flocks of turkey that come to feed in the yard. They wander in and out as they please. I find that it doesn't matter how many times you see them they are always beautiful to watch. Sometimes you get really lucky and see an eagle or other majestic bird. Some of my guests have even had bear sightings, not in my yard but in the development. It's just a really beautiful place to come and kick back and relax.
