Overview

Sayulita Villa Rental Photos and Description

3 Bedrooms, 2.5 Bathrooms, Sleeps 8

This hillside jungle retreat overlooks the north river valley with

panoramic views from the mountains down to the ocean. A comfortable five minute walk takes you to town or the beach. Casa Amanecer was designed and built by an artist and is a refreshing design of tropical living. As mild ocean breezes and warm temperatures are the norm year round this villa acclimates its visitors beautifully to the natural environment. The upstairs kitchen, living area, and half bath is covered with a huge palapa allowing it to take advantage of the warm open air and wonderful ocean breezes. The two spacious downstairs bedrooms are enclosed with comfortable beds, secure storage and bright colors and share a full bath and palapa covered veranda. The new separate open air casita sits above the pool area, overlooking the oasis from the hillside with a comfortable king bed, bath and outside shower. The casita reflects much of the designers inspiration with extensive mosaic tile.

Why Tamra Koch chose Sayulita

This property has a wonderful sense of privacy while still being very close to town. The lot is very large and has three structures. The landscaping is wonderful and makes you feel as though you are in a jungle paradise. The upstairs is open air which takes advantage of the breeze that comes up the river from the ocean, which is nice as the enclosed houses can get very hot and stuffy.

Guestbook comments from the manager

Our family really enjoyed our 2 weeks in Sayulita at this rental property, 7 minutes from the beach or town center. No A/C, but as the rental is located on a hill above street level, every morning and evening we were greeted by a tropical breeze so the A/C was not missed. On the days when the breeze did not appear the modest swimming pool was more than enough compensation. The rental is in a residential area, giving it a pleasent and peaceful local perspective. Well maintained through out with many amenities (Wi-Fi, washing machine and dryer, coffe maker, 2 safe deposit boxes, all untensiles for cooking, etc...), the rental mangement was very responsive to any requests we made, even ferrying us and our luggage to and from the rental office to the property, both on arrival and departure. A unique outdoor living experience, will recommend this property to anyone wishing to stay in Sayulita and would stay there again with the family if in the area.

What a fantastic place!

  • 5 of 5
We stayed at Casa Amanecer for two weeks and loved it! The grounds were very jungle like and well cared for. The house was clean and spacious. We really enjoyed the breeze that comes through the property. The upstairs is open air and very spacious. It feels really private yet really close to town and the beach, although we wanted to spend most of our time at Casa Amanecer I would highly recommend.

This house was absolutely beautiful!!

  • 5 of 5
This house was absolutely beautiful and we had such a nice time. The rooms were clean and comfortable and the garden (more like jungle) that the house sits in makes you feel as if you are in the wilderness, it's fantastic. Beach only a short walk away and the town itself is full of nice bars, restaurants, and shops. I really enjoyed the stay and would recommend it to anyone!

We LOVE Casa Amanacer!!

  • 5 of 5
We stayed at Casa Amanacer in January of 2011 and had a GREAT time! This was shortly after the landslide, so the Casa looked a bit different than in the photos but it was a great fit for our group, nonetheless. The landslide seemed to have taken quite a toll on the greenery surrounding the Casa, but it didn't diminish it's charm or comfort. There were seven of us and we had plenty of room to come together or to have a bit of privacy. The casita is gorgeous and I loved falling asleep listening to the waves and waking up to the birds....not to mention feeling like you're showering in the jungle!

We cooked in most nights and found everything we needed in the kitchen. The housekeeper came regularly and the gardener came by three times during the week to water the plants and keep the dipping pool clean. At one point, we started to run low on water, but a quick call to the management was all it took and we had more water delivered within an hour.

For all seven of us, this was our first trip to Sayulita and we couldn't believe how we lucked out on location. Casa Amanacer is situated perfectly to allow a bit of privacy but is still just a quick walk to town or to the beach (five to ten minutes). We did not have any problems with security or theft (although we did make good use of the safe for laptops, cameras, money and passports).

We were celebrating a birthday and had wonderful evenings hanging by the pool, grilling out...and even had a pinata on the deck for the big day. We loved Casa Amanacer and can't wait to get back!

Highly recommended!!!

Owner's Response: I am so pleased that you had such a wonderful time staying at Casa Amanecer. Thank you for your kind words.
There was a small mudslide (not landslide) in 2010. We have worked very hard to make sure that never happens again. We have built two engineered retaining walls on the hillside above Casa Amanecer. This is probably overkill but we wanted to feel absolutely secure that it would never happen again.
This gave us the opportunity to replace some of the landscaping which will fill in very quickly.
We are now in the process of a major renovation of the upstairs which should expand the living area substantially and make it much more luxurious.
Thank you again for your wonderful review

Lovely open air house in jungle

  • 5 of 5
I stayed at Casa Amancer early 2011 and LOVED it!

The house is spacious and comfortable, and gave a good sense of privacy between areas. The property managers and other staff were great and very responsive - they made sure we had everything we needed. The house was stocked with equipment needed to cook simple food, which we took advantage of most nights.

I loved the open design of the house, allowing a sense of connection with the jungle. The trees surrounding the house are full of beautiful tropical birds and you can hear the sound of the waves from the lounge in the evening. It was a short walk to the beach and stores.
