Enjoy a sunny day at the beach and return to relax in the screened bambooTiki Hut complete with fountain .Constructed in 2003, the Sea Island Cottage boasts a tasteful tropical -nautical decor. Not your typical Beach Cottage..this is very nice and very clean with many personal touches. Just pack your suitcase and come and relax. You will find everything you'll need from fresh linens,pots & pans, dishes, even salt & pepper! If you prefer to bring your own linens, we offer a discount for that. Perfect getaway spot for couples.

Edisto Island is one of South Carolina's most beautiful barrier islands along the Atlantic Sea Coast. Edisto Island's Lowcountry environment is filled with lush tropical forests, pristine marshes, and inviting sandy beaches. Great Little Getaway

We had a great time staying here. We had a wonderful time, and you just can't beat it for the price. I cooked breakfast one morning. The cottage had everything I needed. The distance from the beach is far enough to be out of the hassle of the beach, but it is wonderfully secluded. Also, the view of the old churches on the island on the way to the beach is beautiful. We ate at some wonderful restaurants, and enjoyed a few nights playing cards. The bed is cozy and very roomie. Our stay was a little chilly because of the weather, but I look forward to renting here again and having my morning quiet time under the big oak tree sitting at the picnic table. The tiki hut is very nice. Also there is an outside shower. My family really enjoyed this little cottage and we look forward to making a return trip. It really made our trip to Edisto wonderful.

Ideal low key get away

What a great vacation! We stayed at the sea island cottage for a low key get away and were so pleased we will most definitely be back! In fact i recommended my sister go and she already has, with the same wonderful experience. The location is quaint, quiet and clean! We loved relaxing in the screened in gazebo and had everything we needed provided for in the cottage (even boogie boards to take to the beach). The owners Rob & Debbie were so down to earth and accommodating, we really felt looked after. The little details they thought of to make our stay great wasn't something we were used to, having mostly stayed in hotel's on previous vacations, it was a nice change! Highly Recommend!

Would not recommend this property to future travelers

The listing description was accurate regarding the location. The photos accurately reflect the rental's appearance. The property was clean. The owner did help with our concern, however, his use of profanity was unprofessional when we had to ask him to unlock the cottage for us. We would NOT recommend this property for future travelers.
Owner's Response: These guests locked themselves out of the cottage..leaving both keys provided to them inside. We promptly came to unlock the door for them during tremendous rainstorm. They were unappreciative and unfriendly. They do not reflect the circumstances correctly. The weather continued to be bad and they decided to depart early. We refunded the night stay they did not use although we were not required to, as well as their security deposit. We treated them fairly & in a profresssional manner. We suggest reading the many other fine reviews we have received. Our guests are very important to us and we make every effort to help them and make them comfortable.

Home away from home

From the moment we pulled into the driveway, I knew that we were going to have a remarkable weekend at Sea Island Cottage. The oak trees in the large, fenced-in yard are enough to make you want to come back every weekend.

Upon entering the charming cottage, we were blown away by the cleanliness of the place. The owners really take care of it, just as well as they take care of their guests. There was everything we needed in the cottage: amazing sheets that made me have sweet dreams both nights of my stay, a spacious bathroom with fluffy towels, kitchen cupboards filled with pots, pans, and spices, a Tiki Hut with toys for the kids, a book of things to do/places to eat while vacationing, and a picnic table under the old oat tree to experience the outdoors while eating, just to name a few!

Manse Road, the road where this amazing getaway is located, is a dream come true to walk and enjoy being away from the hustle and bustle of normal, everyday life.

Our two dogs loved running around the yard, exploring every nook and cranny of the large area. They fell in love with walking on Manse Road, swimming in the ponds, and relaxing under the trees.

We will certainly be back to Sea Island Cottage very soon!

Great experience at sea Island cottage and Edisto.

Sea Island cottage was a great place to explore Edisto. The cottage was clean and the owners were very accommodating by including all the little extras you normally don't expect. The grounds of the cottage were beautiful and our dog loved the fenced yard. We would definitely recommend the cottage and look forward to returning!
