The cottage is located in the middle of Edisto Island on nearly an acre of property, only 5 miles from the beach. Enjoy a sunny day at the beach and return to relax in the screened bambooTiki Hut complete with fountain .Constructed in 2003, the Sea Island Cottage boasts a tasteful tropical -nautical decor. Not your typical Beach Cottage..this is very nice and very clean with many personal touches. Just pack your suitcase and come and relax. You will find everything you'll need from fresh linens,pots & pans, dishes, even salt & pepper! Perfect getaway spot for couples.

A truly magical place. . .

There is something special about Edisto that is impossible to describe--I had to go there to understand and, ever since I did, I have been longing to go back. Whether it was sitting in the backyard surrounded by astounding old trees, wandering around the old churches nearby, or coming back home after a day at the beach and fresh seafood from Whaley's, Debbie and Rob's cozy cottage was the perfect place. They were wonderful hosts for our weekend visit, pointing us in all the right directions (including Charleston, only an hour away). But we didn't need plans at Edisto--the marshes and the spanish moss and the mystery were enough. Every moment of our trip there has stayed with me, and hopefully we will return some day soon.

Wonder Beach Retreat

I've been staying here for over 3 years. It is always so neat and clean. The cabinets are stocked with staples like coffee, creamer, zip-lock bags etc. which you don't usually find at other rentals. There are even beach chairs, beach towels and a beach bag in case you forget to bring your own. The grounds are immaculate and the tiki hut is a perfect place to relax even in the winter months. I especially appreciate the fenced-in yard as I usually take my dog with me. Thanks Debbie & Rob for providing such a wonderful retreat.

Relaxing Family Vacation

We thoroughly enjoyed our time at the Sea Island Cottage. We found it to be just right for our family of three. The cottage, beautifully nestled under a canopy of majestic old oaks, was clean, cozy and relaxing. The bed and futon were very comfortable. The fenced in yard was perfect for our dog and our daughter had fun exploring it too. The kitchen had all necessary utensils for preparing a meal. The restaurants we tried were all good. We especially loved the friendly atmosphere and great food at McConkey’s Jungle Shack. Also, the delicious food at Hominy Grill in Charleston is worth the drive, but make reservations. We had a great time relaxing at the beaches and Botany Bay Preserve is awe-inspiring. Thank you Debbie and Rob, we had a wonderful, memorable vacation and hope we can return soon.

Relaxing Family Vacation

We found the location (secluded) to be ideal = quiet. We wanted a peaceful stressfree week and we got it! Songs of birds & gentle breezes. Fresh fish from Flowers Seafood;exploring Botany Bay Preserve;cruise to Otter Island;fabulous fish tacos at McConkeys Shack;authentic gullah food from Mains Market; breakfast at Sea Cow;hours of beach combing.
Your attention to detail (in decorating and in amentities i.e. sandwich bags, Pam spray,etc). Complete package.Great.
