Just returned from a week at this terrific location. Our grandkids loved being able to fish from the shore. The deck on this property is to die for. We spent every evening except one rainy one on the deck with family and friends enjoying the peace and quiet and the wonderful views. The highlight of the stay was the evening that our host, David, stopped by with dungeoness crab which he helped us cook and clean. What a fantastic evening we had. There is a wonderful organic farm about 3 miles down the road and we had some of the best melon and white nectarines I have ever tasted. The blueberries and fingerling potatoes weren't bad either. The great thing about Oregon is that they have tons of State Parks and every one that we went to was no charge and there was ample parking and clean restroom facilities. The ocean water was certainly warmer than what we get in Maine. And at the end of the day it was great to return to this quiet, peaceful and comfortable little paradise. The kitchen was well stocked and had every convenience you might need. We are a family that likes to cook, eat and enjoy a good beer or wine and the deck was a wonderful place for a family gathering every evening. This location is perfect for large family gatherings and both Lincoln City and Newport are easily accessible, about 15-20 minutes to Lincoln City and about 30 minutes to Newport. David's recommendations for restaurants, beaches, equipment rental, etc were all right on the money, kept me from wasting time going off on my own. Thank you David and Ruby for your quick response to all our email questions beforehand as well as having for the use of your cozy, inviting home. Five thumbs up from our family!! A car is definitely needed at this location.
