After two weeks at Longview, we reluctantly left for home but the memories of this wonderful place remains with us through the year. This was our second stay there and we rate it as one of the very best in all our 32 years staying in Eidelweiss!!

What a wonderful vacation we had! The property was exactly as pictured. It was extremely clean. The kitchen was well stocked. The one request to the owner after we arrived was performed promptly. The location was centrally located for our day trips into Maine and Vermont also. Not to mention the beautiful drives nearby in New Hampshire.

Mountain Retreat

Open. Uncluttered. Windows everywhere. The perfect mountain retreat with incredible privacy: enjoy the unobstructed mountain views with no other houses visible. The house is perched on a mountainside - so don't plan a touch football game (i.e. no yard). Bring constellation books for clear sky night viewing. House is perfectly appointed especially with the top floor open living plan. Location is perfect for day trips to Kancamagus and Conway. Wireless connection was flawless. Garmin goes stupid in Eidelweiss maze - byo-map. This property is worth bookmarking.

I would definately and have recommended this rental to others, It is in a perfect private location with beautiful views of the mountains, close to all the fun things to do in the White Mountains. Love the open concept in the kitchen/dining area. Would love to rent it again but will stay longer!

The home was nice but it needs alot of updates done to it
.the matresses on the beds need to be updated , the furniture was very uncomfortable, it was wood which was very old it had alot of scrathes on it. the house needed more ceiling fans their was only one in the upstairs their was none in the bedrooms. but the view was fabulous.the kitchen was big but not enoughcontainers with lids.

Owner's Response: The mattress and box spring in the master bedroom were new this year. The other mattresses will be replaced in the next few months. The furniture is rustic and rugged - very fitting for a mountain vacation home. Additional food storage containers will be added in the kitchen. Portable fans will be purchased for the bedrooms.
