DELIGHTFUL STUDIO IN THE HEART OF TOWN, HOPE TOWN, ABACO

The location couldn't be much better...right in the heart of gorgeous Hope Town. Just the right size everything for having all that you need to cook, relax, cable, etc. Super clean, very modern. BUT the futon is incredibly uncomfortable....and I could sleep on a rock. We were afraid to risk it and brought along two thermarests that we have for camping. I am so glad we did. This great little cottage is only great if you are looking for a fantastic price and are willing to bring a little comfort with you. The thermarests did the trick in keeping us somewhat comfortable and still loving this great, inexpensive place. Also, there are no blankets for the bed. If you don't sleep with one in the summer at home, this may not be an issue, but with the A/C going and if you are just used to sleeping under a blanket, you will find this very odd. They do have a small throw which we had to use. Also, there were two decent bath towels and 4 worn out ones. No beach chairs. Several of the rentals had no beach chairs, so this isn't too unusual. We were told by a local store owner that we could buy them at the store in Hope Town or Marsh Harbor upon arrival for $25 each. There were none at all.... I called every store that could possibly sell them...including the Marsh Harbor grocery. And no generator....power goes out a lot! And no view. None.... I know it sounds like I'm really complaining but these are ALL of the negatives.

But honestly, if you could bring a thermarest to add some comfort to this futon, it's a steal! The other negatives that I listed are seriously the ONLY negatives, and I'm picky. I spend about 95% of my waking hours outside of the building, so small and cheap fit the bill, but really, regardless, it's a great place! I would definitely stay there again for the value (price, clean, location, newness).

Owner was very helpful in answering all questions. Place was very accurately represented.
