The Property: The house is in a gated master-planned community. Common areas managed by a Homeowners' Association. Simply and tastefully furnished and decorated, so you can enjoy your vacation in comfort. New, completed in late 2004. Located in a cul-de-sac, quiet neighborhood and there are plenty of well maintained and landscaped sidewalks in and around the community for relaxing walks. A short drive away are a grocery store (if you prefer to cook at home), a bank, a UPS store, and several fast-food restaurants. On/off ramps to nearby Interstate 15 make it easy to go to/from the strip or sight see the surrounding areas. The house is owner-managed by a friendly husband-and-wife team. Please call us, we want you to have a pleasant vacation experience and we can be flexible with reasonable requests.
Las Vegas and the strip: A short 10 minute drive away is Las Vegas and the famous strip. They say Las Vegas is the 'entertainment capital of the world'. Site of 14 of the nation's 15 largest hotels, It boasts of 39.2 million visitors per year (aren't you glad you have a quiet refuge where you can get away from it all), not to mention 'world-class entertainment, hospitality, splendid casinos, fine restaurants and a dazzling array of shopping venues.' Take a night-time drive from one end of the strip to the other and enjoy the lights and the many entertainment sights along the way. As you take the drive, make a note of those you want to see up close, then come back and do that. Notables are the volcano at the Mirage, the pirate ship at Treasure Island, the Eiffel Tower at Paris, and the dancing fountains at the Bellaggio. New York! New York!, the MGM, Ceasar's....these you have to see inside, as well. Las Vegas is so much more than gambling nowadays!!
..the surrounding areas: The Colorado River is not too far away if you are staying longer. Laughlin is on the fun-filled Colorado River and there are interesting communities like Mesquite and Primm nearby. If you access the Lake Mead website you will find a wealth of information about Lake Mead National Recreation Area. Home of engineering marvel -- Hoover Dam. Other areas mentioned are: Mt. Charleston and Toiyabe National Forest, Red Rock Canyon, Valley of Fire and other parks, museums, recreational and cultural attractions.
