Lincoln City Vacation Rental house

My husband and I had a great vacation June 19-25, 2009 at this beach house. It was a quiet and relaxing time. The house is well equipped and had what we needed to enjoy our stay. We came for a reunion and also our 43rd wedding anniversary.

The pretty dishes and linens were fun and added to the flavor of the home.We didn't cook any meals, but it looked like there was everything you'd need to do that if you wanted to. There was a nice selection of movies, CDs and books to enjoy. We didn't have children with us but there were toys, books and games as well. They also provided a nice selection of good smelling shampoos, conditioners, shower gel, and lotions for our use. There were plenty of towels, plus a washer and dryer if we needed more. It was nice not to go home with a bunch of dirty clothes.

One disappointment is that the location is a bit misleading. From the pictures, I expected the house to be on the beach side of the road overlooking the ocean. Rather, it is in a neighborhood with houses between the property and the ocean. There are nice ocean views off to the side, but you have to see other homes right in front of you, and don't hear the ocean as well. I specifically wanted to be right by the ocean and I should have asked! Access to the beach was close but a lot of stairs. You could also drive there however and they did mention this in the information so we expected it.

In the house there is only one shower - so if you had a group this could be difficult. Probably okay for a family and of course fine for a couple. There are also a lot of steps up to the house, so if someone has a problem with stairs this would not be the place to stay. In the master bedroom there is no closet, just a rack on the wall and no place to put suitcases. Since there were only two of us we used the little single bedroom off the master and just put our stuff on the bed, but if someone was sleeping there I'm not sure where you'd put your things. They did provide a chest of drawers so you could unpack if you wanted to.

We love Mo's Restaurant and ate there three times. It is close. Our days at the beach were wonderful and we had great weather most of the time we were there, which was a bonus because the forecast was for rain the whole time.

The owner was responsive and provided lots of information about places to see and available things to do. I would recommend this for a couple, small group or a family.
