Are you looking for an affordable, convenient and pretty vacation spot on Providenciales?
Welcome to Villa Daisanadu, a central, breezy, hilltop location overlooking Turtle Cove Marina and the Atlantic Ocean. This entirely self-contained one bedroom apartment occupies the lower level of our home in Providenciales. Amenities include spacious bedroom with king-sized bed and a/c, living room with LCD TV, fully-equipped kitchen, bathroom and private laundry room. The large deck, with it's sweeping views, is designed for your relaxation and privacy. Cable and wi-fi are provided for your convenience.
With it's native vegetation and xeriscaping, our 2-acre garden boasts some of the island's oldest and most beautiful Lignum Vitae trees, many of them over 500 years old. It has been photographed by the Turks & Caicos National Trust, scouted as a location for numerous photo shoots, and featured on an international website.
The house is a short walk (less than 2 minutes, all downhill)to the many restaurants and bars of Turtle Cove, yet is private and quiet. A little farther away, but still within easy walking distance (less than 10 minutes), begins the western end of world-famous Grace Bay beach and the great snorkeling of Smith's Reef. With the Marina right at the doorstep, the spot is ideal for people wishing to dive, deep sea fish or just take one of the many excursions that leave from the dock.
Turtle Cove is the perfect location for your holiday. Situated more or less in the middle of Providenciales, it's a great spot to easily access the numerous sights of the island. There are 5 restaurants, 2 dive operators, 2 fishing charters, and 2 snorkeling charters located right in the Marina! A bike, scooter and car rental shop is also on-site, should you decide to explore other parts of the island. A gym and tennis court lie just across the road. IGA, the main grocery store, is 1.6 miles away. The airport is 4.5 miles (a $15 cab ride) away. The ferry to North Caicos is a 15 minute drive.

We have lived on the island for almost 10 years, and love to share our recommendations with our visitors.
The Owner purchased this apartment in 2003
We fell in love with the house when we first saw it in 2002 and bought it a year later. Designed by well-known architect Jeff Lee of Lee & Astwood Architects, it is perfectly situated to take in the beautiful ocean views and the comings and goings in Turtle Cove Marina. The apartment is used through winter as a guest suite for our many friends and relatives who visit. When we don't have guests staying with us, we rent the apartment out on a short-term basis.
Save your $$$$.
An affordable alternative to staying in the more expensive hotel district. You still get the benefits of the beach, without the crowds and cost. Turtle Cove has a small town feel and everything you need is really close by. All the money you save can be used for umbrella drinks.
What a wonderful trip!
From the first inquiry about Villa Daisanadu, Barb was so helpful, friendly, and full of life! The renting and check-in process was so quick/easy. The villa was beautifully decorated, it is the perfect size for two people that want pure relaxation! My favorite was sitting in the comfy king size bed looking out at the amazing view!! There is also a storage room with all the beach supplies you may need: Umbrella (needed that after we got burnt the first sunny day), beach chairs, snorkel gear, beach balls, etc. We were so thankful for those beach items!! The location was perfect for us, it was close to all the great beaches, snorkeling, and turtle cove marina for a quick happy hour :)
My husband and I cannot wait to plan our next trip to Villa Daisanadu. Thank you Barb for providing such a wonderful villa that is so inviting and relaxing. It really felt like home :)
My husband and I recently returned from ten wonderful days at Villa Daisanadu. It was our first time to Providenciales and we had relied on photos and previous reviews, (as well as the very reasonable cost), when choosing our accommodations. We were not disappointed! The view from the large porch is even better than the photo and that is where we spent most of our time whenever we were "home". We could even wake up to the sight of the turquoise waters from the very comfortable king sized bed! Barb was an excellent host, always available to answer questions and offer tips about the area. The unique design of the villa, however, gives you the feeling of your own private residence. With a small car we easily explored the island from one end to the other but we usually ended up back in Turtle Cove for the evenings, taking a short stroll to one of the nearby restaurants. All in all an excellent vacation - can't wait to return!
My husband and I chose Villa Diasanadu for our week on Provo. The location is convenient to just about everything, without being in the middle of the mega-resorts.
We love having a "home" rather than a hotel room on vacation, and this felt much like a home to us. Barb had even placed a miniature Christmas tree on the table (we were there for Christmas). Nice touch!
Everything you need in order to have an enjoyable vacation is provided. Beach chairs, towels, beach towels, etc. are all provided. Copies of the latest dining guide and the latest "Where When How" magazine were on hand - very helpful!
Everything is exactly as it is pictured here on the listing. The villa was clean and tidy, nothing in disrepair that we could see. We used the washing machine one time and didn't mind hanging our things out to dry on the line (think someone complained about that in a previous review).
The kitchen is well equipped with enough pans, utensils and dishes to cook a full meal. We mainly did breakfasts, lunches and happy hours at the villa, going out to restaurants for dinner.
The bathroom and bedroom are both roomy. No tripping over each other to get to things. The living room and dining area are perfect for two people. AC is provided in the bedroom, but we mainly just opened the windows and used fans. It was plenty cool most nights. The verandah is a great place to sit and relax after a long day at in the sun. We usually sat out there and had happy hour with some rum punch and snacks before getting ready for dinner. Very relaxing.
Graceway IGA is about a 2 minute drive. Grace Bay restaurants, resorts and shopping about 3 min. (It's a small island- nothing is too far of a drive.) Turtle Cove is walking distance, as is Magnolia. We saw many runners on the sidewalks along Lower Bight road. We didn't exercise at all this week, but felt like this would be a pretty safe place for running.
For beach access we used the first one east of Turtle Cove. This end of Grace Bay is very quiet and, thankfully there are no water sports salesmen hassling you to sign up for para-sailing or banana boat rides, etc., like you'll get down by the resorts. It felt almost like a private beach. This particular beach access also puts you right at the best part of Smith's Reef for snorkeling.
We would definitely recommend staying here and would stay here again if we return to Provo.
My wife and I recently stayed at Villa Daisanadu for a week. Barb was an excellent host and always available for questions and recommendations. This place is exactly as beautiful as shown in the pictures, it is a perfect place to stay for those who don't want to spend the ridiculous resort prices on TCI. The apartment is very clean and comfortable and it is convenient to anywhere you want to go on the island. We rented a small car from Caicos Wheels while on our trip and I would definitely recommend this option for anyone who is staying on the island. You do NOT need an SUV as many others have noted, a small Kia Picanto will get you anywhere you need and want to go. The apartment is a short 5-10 minute drive from most of the shops, restaurants, and beaches at Grace Bay. It is also a 10-15 minute drive to the more secluded beaches of Long Bay and Taylor Bay (both of which I would recommend visiting). Not much else to add from all of the other reviews other than I would highly recommend staying for those who appreciate the value of money and want to save it for the expensive cost of food on the island. Cheers!
Great weather (unaffected by the polar vortex in North America).
Beautiful view (of Turtle Cove Marina + turquoise waters in the distance)
It’s a Big one bedroom villa,
It has a Very LARGE deck out front.
(In addition, for sun worshipers, there’s a separate deck with lounge chairs on the West side of the villa).
It’s close to paved roads.
Ceiling fans in bedroom, and living room.
It has a washing machine + clothesline outside.
There are 5 restaurants just a short walk away:
1)The Green Bean (coffee bar, breakfast and lunch),
2) The Tiki Hut,
3) The Shark Bite Bar & Grill,
4) Magnolia Wine Bar & Restaurant,
5) and Baci Ristorante .
It also has nice décor.
A) Cistern water.
B) Some of the gravel roads on parts of Providenciales can be really rough.
C) There’s no in room safe.
D) Aggressive speed bumps in some places.
To See How To Minimize “The Cons” Please Read The Following:
A) Water is cheap. Refills at the liquor store are only 60 cents/gallon, and buying water at the local IGA is only $1.80/Gallon, both of which Are Close to Villa Daisanadu.
In addition the villa fridge is large enough to hold 4 gallons on the top shelf, so you’ll always have a lot of chilled water available.
B) (*Note – the grocery/liquor stores, and all of the resorts are along paved roads), BUT if you decide to go off the beaten path exploring the rest of the island, you’ll run into some gravel roads that can be really bumpy.
If I had to do it over again I would have rented a Suzuki Grand Vitara from Avis, instead we rented a Suzuki Celerio.
C) The villa is large, and if you’re worried about your passports, iPod, laptop or something being stolen there are plenty of hiding places. Like the laundry room, in the kitchen, bathroom etc….
D) Keep your eyes peeled when you’re driving around, some of the speed bumps are Really BIG, and might damage your rental car if you go over them at 30-40 km/h.
(*Note -The Leeward Highway is like the main road down the center of the island, and doesn’t have any speed bumps.)
If you would like to see a tourist map before you actually go to Turks & Caicos you may find a map at the following link: http://www.wherewhenhow.com/turks-caicos-islands-maps.html and click on “Map of Providenciales (Provo)”.
The red triangles indicate beach access, and there are 3 that are about one minute drive from Villa Daisanadu, on the Eastern side of Turtle Cove Marina. 2 from Coconut Road, and another off of Lower Bight Road.
Great place, if it’s available the days you’ll be in Provo, jump on it! Daisanadu is an awesome find, and Barb is great! I will second everything positive that has already been said. The private deck is huge and beautiful! We packed coffee, bagels and wine in our checked bags and spent a lot of time on the porch for breakfast and post dinner drinks! The view is just like the pictures – none of this “crane your neck and look left” the way hotels describe an ocean view sometimes ;) You really do have a great view from the whole deck as well as all the screened windows in the apartment!
A few things that haven’t been touched on as much in some earlier reviews and might be good to know- the bathroom is huge! Tons of space there – which to be honest is more important to me than the kitchen (which was much more space than I anticipated, and more than sufficient for our needs).
All sorts of water-fun in the closet – water noodles, snorkel mask, beach umbrella, chairs… everything you need and towels for the beach too. Made packing easy!
The clothes-line is super-handy to have– so many places I end up just tossing my wet swimsuit on a chair to dry as best it could, here I could hang out my suit over lunch and it would be dry for afternoon beach time. Much appreciated!
As for location, I’m a runner so brought my Garmin. The distances to the beaches are just as close as described. From the driveway to Turtle Cove, I clocked 0.17 mi – and there are sidewalks on the Suzy Turn road, so very easy and safe to get there. It’s a super quick walk. The sidewalks continue all the way to Grace Bay and well beyond – we drove many times, and also ran it, there are entrances to the beach about a half mile from the house and pretty often thereafter – the “official Grace Bay sign” is right under a mile from the house. We actually liked the first and second access points near the apt better – fewer people since you’re a smidge down the beach from all the resorts. Very easy to get to the beaches via sidewalk if you prefer to walk there and work off some of the calories in all the awesome island food :)
We’re the types that, when we’re on an island, we want to see all the beaches, so the Turtle Cove location was great in that you can get to all the different parts from a mid-point very quickly! This location was wonderful – you feel totally secluded, but you’re so very close to everything.
I adored it! Highly recommeded!
The villa was just as promised! Barb was a delightful hostess! The view was beautiful! This location was perfect...in a nice, safe marina area. We were able to run in the mornings, walk to restaurants and local events. We enjoyed our two full weeks of complete relaxation!! The accomodations were clean and comfortable and the price was affordable...an excellent combination and we WILL be back to visit this VRBO villa again!! I highly recommend! Thanks Barb! ~your new friends from Texas
