3 miles from downtown Freeport and 20 miles north of Portland. Freeport's famous resident is L.L. Bean company store, famous for their outdoor supplies and clothing. Freeport has become an amazing shopping destination with many shopping outlets and restaurants in the downtown. Aside from shopping, the area offers many activities such as Winslow and Wolfe's Neck State Parks, hiking at Bradbury Mountain, exploring the unique Desert of Maine and golfing at Freeport Public Golf Course. Just 10 miles up the road is Bowdoin College, its museums and Maine State Music Theatre also located on the campus. You can check out historic Bath 20 miles from Freeport, with the Maine Maritime Museum. Beaches are located about 3 miles from the house. The house is also surrounded by nature and wildlife for you to enjoy.

Perfect spot for my family of six. We shopped in Freeport; hiked the Desert of Maine and Wolf Neck; cross country skiied; visited Portland; and went to Maritime Museum in Bath (recommended!!! and Kennebeck Tavern for lunch!).

Loved that the house had a great kitchen and big table for dining. Kids loved the giant yard.

We'll be back! Thank You.

Perfect for long term rental

Because of my husband’s job, we needed a rental property for 3 months.
This property worked out great for our needs. The house was clean and the bedrooms, bath and kitchen were well stocked with everything we needed, including the lobster pot. It was really our home away from home.
The owner saw to it that we had what we needed, she met with me the first week and took me for a short tour of the area so I could get my bearings of the grocery store, post office and of course Freeport outlet shopping!
On the weekends my husband and I took short trips to surrounding areas. Bar Harbor, Boothbay Harbor, Camden and Portland – all within 1 to 3 hours driving time.
If we had to do it again, this would be our first choice in a rental. It was quiet, peaceful, secluded yet close to everything in the Freeport area. We had a great time.
