This brand new cottage was just built last year. It is one of the very few cottages in Michigan that you can watch the sunrise and sunset over water all from the same lounge chair. It's perfect for 1-2 families. The cottage is great because you get two lakes to enjoy! A few steps out of the cottage is 100 feet of sandy beach frontage on Pere Marquette Lake. This is a lake that makes up the Ludington Harbor so there is a channel that leads out to Lake Michigan. Down the road 200 yards is a public but quite private township beach on Lake Michigan with zero entry and miles of beautiful shoreline to walk. There are 4 deck/balconies off the bedrooms and main living areas to enjoy, as well. This peaceful spot is perfect for family reunions or getaways year round. You will love the beauty and relaxation this place offers and will want to come back every year!

Ludington is a beautiful town located on Lake Michigan with a quaint downtown featuring specialty shops, restaurants, and a park located on the Lake Michigan shoreline. About 10 miles from the cottage is Ludington State Park, which has many hiking trails and views from the beautiful Ludington lighthouse. This cottage has frontage on Pere Marquette Lake which is the main harbor lake to downtown Ludington. A channel leads from Pere Marquette Lake out to Lake Michigan. You can walk out the front door of this cottage, get in your boat and be on Lake Michigan in 5 minutes. Or you can walk 400 feet and enjoy the beauty of Lake Michigan beach.

You get the enjoyment of the Pere Marquette sandy beach as well as the option of heading to Lake Michigan for the day. The deep water dock can be used for boats, jet skis, or fishing craft. This cottage is a warm place for a vacation getaway year round. The inside of this cottage is furnished and outfitted in a first class way with a gourmet kitchen, granite countertops, flat panel TV with cable, a huge kitchen island that can sit 8-12 people, full laundry faculties, outdoor shower, side by side refrigerator, great porch furniture, a charcoal grill, and much more!

Ice fishing trip

This cottage is absolutely beautiful! There were 10 of us and each person had a ton of fishing gear, yet we never felt cramped. The huge 2 car garage easily held all of our gear and the garage door that opened up toward Pere Marquette Lake was extremely convenient. The huge steps leading to the lake gave us easy access to the water.
The kitchen and living room are amazing. The views are incredible. Lake Michigan can be seen on one side and Pere Marquette lake on the other. The bedrooms are very nice and clean, sheets and linens are all provided which really makes you feel at home. Since our visit was in the winter, the gas fireplace was an added bonus where we could get a quick warm up before heading back out to fish.
The fishing was great, by the way, i caught a 34 inch walleye straight out from the cottage that i am getting mounted!
It really could not have been any better. Everything was as promised by the website. The photos on the website actually do not do it justice. There should be some shots of the views from inside the cottage.
We would definitely stay in this cottage again.

Wonderful Home and Location

We loved the location of this house - it's on a country road on a narrow peninsula between Pere Marquette Lake and Lake Michigan. There is a view of the water from every window. It feels like you are away from it all, yet it is just several minutes from downtown Ludington. It was an easy drive to explore Ludington State Park, Pentwater and Silver Lake. The dock on PM lake is a fun place for the kids to see ducks, geese, and swans. We also saw a deer and muskrat in the yard.

The beach is an easy 1/2 mile walk away - free parking for those inclined. They have added sand which made it nice and wide. It has very clean sand and water and the beach was not crowded at all.

We were very pleased by the quality and cleanliness of this new home and furnishings. It easily accommodated 11 of us and we did not feel as if we were on top of each other.

The lack of window coverings is nice during the day, but inconvenient at night. We easily darkened every bedroom with black Hefty sacks and low-adhesion painters tape. The rooms were so dark we slept in later than normal. In the morning we removed the "shades" to restore the scenic views. The fourth bedroom does not have a door which was a minor problem since we were with family. A vacuum cleaner would have been nice for us to perform a mid-week touch up.

The owner and manager were very friendly and responsive.

It was a blessing for our family to have a week in this home and we hope to stay there again next year!

Nice House with a few quirks

House and views are beautiful. Windows do not have any kind of coverings, incl. bedrooms. Could not find the high chair and does not have kitchen seating for 10, only 8. Wanted to sweep the kitchen, found a broom but no dust pan. Also one bedroom does not have a door. Due to the high levels of Pere Marquette Lake, there is not 100 feet of sandy beach at this property which to owner did contact us prior to our arrival. There are beautiful beaches nearby. Enjoyed seeing all the wildlife.

Can't say enough about this place. Beautiful inside and out and perfectly located. Ludington is a wonderul place and worth the 7 hour drive from Toronto.
