Perfect for honeymoon, romantic holiday, one person retreat CONCH SHELL COTTAGE is located on a secluded white coral sand beach with the privacy of a picket fence draped in flowering bushes and palms and acres of beach yet without being too isolated since the small 4 star Nisbet Plantation Resort and its bar and restaurants and spa is beach foot steps away. The interior, in Caribbean style vaulted ceiling, is bright, inviting and charming with original art by local artists, is immaculately clean and very well maintained. The screened-in porch has a table, chairs, hammock while the patio has comfortable chaise lounge chairs for sunning, relaxing and reading. You can see the beach and hear the waves curling over the pristine reefs and enjoy the magnificent clear evening sky with moonlight and incredibly bright stars. You will be met at airport or ferry and brought to the cottage FREE OF CHARGE. A caretaker will be available.
Why we have so many repeat guests: Conch Shell Cottage is in the best location on Nevis, on a beautiful white coral sand beach near pristine coral reefs and privately hidden by palms and tropical flowering bushes, yet close to a small upscale resort and its bar and restaurants.
Guests mention how incredible the staff is and how welcome they feel. Marlon, tall and smiling, will greet you at the airport or wherever your boat lands on Nevis. He will transport you to the cottage and happily answer your questions on the way. Then Bonnie, the caretaker, will greet you, give you an orientation to the cottage and island, and be available if you have any questions during your stay. Jeannette, the maid, has carefully cleaned the cottage for you. Henry, the gardener, has created a beautiful garden for you and will try to give you fresh fruit that he has grown. Pre arrival, I will send you info on special car rental, restaurants, things to see and do, airline info, etc.
thank you from R+S biology profs, PA: Jane, we certainly enjoyed CONCH SHELL COTTAGE. The major plus is its seclusion, the porch for reading/lounging and the chaise lounge chairs on the patio with the view/sound to the ocean/waves. We are happy to recommend CONCH SHELL COTTAGE for a honeymoon or any holiday. CONCH SHELL is a vaulted ceiling, one room cottage with attached screened-in porch and outside patio. There is a kitchenette area, a nice sized closet, separate bathroom with shower and a desk/vanity area. Jane has equipped the cottage with all the possible items that you might need/want from dish soap to wine glasses. There is a TV that helped us keep up to date with the news, too! We kept the large window and door to the screened-in porch open so we could see the ocean and hear the waves hit the beach from the large comfortable bed. We particularly enjoyed the porch because it is ideal for reading, eating and/or relaxing. There is a small patio outside the porch with great chaises lounge chairs facing the ocean view.
How our repeat guests found Conch Shell / Nevis: Until recently we only advertised our luxury 1 or 2 bedroom CORAL REEF VILLA (HomeAway #187350 or #216701) which is privately located on almost an acre of spectacular mature gardens nearby. It is so popular that guests who wanted extra days stayed also at CONCH SHELL and often wanted to return to both places. Others discovered CORAL REEF/CONCH when they had stayed at resorts or other villas on Nevis, and after exploring, decided the Nisbet Beach location was the most beautiful, convenient (with the small resort beach side facilities), secluded enough and yet without being too isolated. Other guests had been on other islands and when they visited Nevis decided that the Nisbet area was where they wanted to stay. Nevisians are known for their friendly smiles and welcome to visitors. Nevis is special with only about 10,000 people, no high rise buildings (nothing taller than a palm tree allowed), no large cruise ships, no gambling.
I thought I already wrote a review. What can I say? It's the perfect place to get away and relax and recharge. Everyone is so friendly....especially the "landlady" and her husband.....Love you two and I can't wait to see you this summer in Chester!
What can I say? It's tiny....perfect for one (a little tight for two but, for a cuddly couple it should be fine). Falling asleep and waking up to the breeze and the sound of the waves. The beach, Nisbet right next door for meals and cocktails....and the wonderful people there. The "landlady" who has become a good and cherished friend......I've already reserved for next year.
With March trade winds of 83 daily/81 at night, get the EARLIEST flight out for MORE pristine beach time!
My first solo internat'l trip & what an amazing week I had! The pictures dont begin to do it justice.
Jane coordinating her team of meet/greet & delivery to the cottage was seamless, precise and the ultimate relaxation. My vacation BEGAN the min I walked thru customs door to meet Daisy,Marlon- very professional, friendly and willing to share the islands ' best of the locals information!

I was last to Nevis 18 yrs previous.
This is an island that has maintained its pristine Caribbean quality! The Nevisians are the most friendly people. If you want unspoiled tropical experience, this is the best you can get!
Jane & Ron thank you for such a wonderful safe tropical experience! Now I know why they say:
never leave us - Nevis
Released all the tension, relaxed in the breezes, and related to the kind people of Nevis. That’s exactly what I did. Jane, I had a great time in Nevis. The cottage has the perfect location on the beach with wonderful views and near the main road for quick trips to other parts of the island. The cottage had everything I needed including cool breezes and privacy. Thank you for all your assistance. The logistics were so easy thanks to you. Daisy and Solomon made me feel extra special to and from the airport. Marlon is fabulous. He was part car rental agent, part tour guide, and a whole lot of big brother. The water taxi gentlemen were just that, gentlemen. I did not lift a finger or bag. Bonnie was there when I needed her and her enthusiasm for her island was evident. Jeanette was an angel – in and out before you could shake a stick – the epitome of professional. The staff at Nesbit Plantation was so gracious (that needs to be conveyed to the owners/managers there). The Thursday night party/BBQ was so much fun. But the people of Nevis were so warm and caring and gracious, I felt at home. I know that you know this about these folks, but I wanted to let you know how great I think they are as well, and how much they were a part of my wonderful vacation. Now all my co-workers want to visit Nevis. I told them "NO!" they can’t visit – it’s my island. I look forward to my next visit.
My best friend and I spent one week at this cottage, and I knew I had to write a review on it as soon as I got back. The Conch Shell Cottage is located right near the beach with private access to the beach right from the cottage. The place is very well kept with twice a week cleaning and laundry, and was equipped with everything necessary for my stay. It's quiet, scenic, and has an amazing breeze that can be felt at all hours. Internet and cable tv worked perfectly, and we didn't experience any power outages. The owner, Jane Paul, is very kind, informative, and professional. From landing in St. Kitts to getting in at Nevis, everything was flawless. We ate at the Nesbit plantation most of the time ( a short walk), and enjoyed the food and dancing at the Thursday Night BBQ. We will definitely return to this sweet little oasis in the future! Thank you, Jane!
Oh my goodness. We just got home and I immediately had to post a review of Conch Shell Cottage. My husband and I came here to retreat from the cold of Berlin, Germany and what a retreat it was!! From the time we arrived at St. Kitts to the time we arrived at Conch Shell, everything went so flawlessly. I realized then how valuable having all this arranged for us was. We rented a car from Marlon (HIGHLY recommended) and his wife was at the house with our car waiting for us along with Bonnie who was very sweet. Even though the place is very small, it was perfect for my husband and me. I loved that the house was cleaned twice while we were there. All we did all day every day was go discover a different (desolate!) beach on the island. Our favorite was Lovers Beach near the airport. Also, got a massage at Nisbet Plantation and it was magical :) Definitely go to the bbq at Nisbet on Thursday. Pricy (abt 65 per person) but delicious and fun to get the island experience. If you are looking for a vacation that is quiet and relaxing, come here!!!
Nisbet Beach area is away from the hustle and bustle of any town and it's always with a happy feeling of homecoming to return to our special spectacular ocean views and refreshing breeze. The trade wind breezes are a special blessing in the Caribbean where they almost constantly blow and have a cooling effect which off sets the average temperature in Nevis which is usually in the low to mid 80's. The trade winds keep the palm fronds rustling and swaying and are a soothing feature, especially on our side of Nevis which is in the perfect location to get the maximum benefit from the trade winds coming from the North East. No need for anything other than quality ceiling fan and a dip in the sea where the temperature stays about 82 degrees.
