Excellent apartment, excellent location

My husband and I stayed at Nanda’s apartment for the second week in January, and it was the best choice we could have made. It is in a great neighbourhood, the Testaccio, and is an excellent location from which to explore Rome. The apartment itself is easy to find, and has everything you need to be comfortable – lots of windows, a lovely open concept living and dining room with a super comfy big sectional sofa (key to resting your tired feet after lots of wandering), a large main bedroom with comfy bed and balconette with city view and a small but well designed kitchen. The apartment is just as it looks in the photos. The surrounding neighbourhood is fabulous – truly Roman and delicious restaurants (Perelli, Trattoria Da Oio, Remo Pizza, Tuttifrutti), cafes and wine bars, and a wonderful daily morning market right down the street, plus a modern grocery store around the corner. If you are a foodie, this neighbourhood is for you. It is also a 7 minute walk to the Pyramid metro stop, 15 minute walk to the Trastevere and 25 minute walk to the Colosseum. Taxis in Rome are very reasonable – never paid more than 10 to 12 Euros (from the Spanish Steps and the Vatican museum) – everything in Rome is closer than it appears on a map! Nanda is an excellent landlord, and has great tips about Rome and other places in Italy too. Thank you, Nanda, for a wonderful time. If we ever are back in Rome, we will definitely stay in this lovely apartment again.
