The Playa Breezes condo is located within Palmar del Sol, a complex of twenty recently constructed (2008) luxury condominiums in the upscale area of north Playa del Carmen, perfectly situated between pedestrian-only 5th Avenue shops and restaurants, yet just 2 blocks from beautiful Coco and Mamitas beaches.

Each of the 3 bedrooms has a private full bathroom; two of the bedrooms have balcony views overlooking the tropical gardens. This quiet condo is situated in a private second floor location, accessible via elevator or stairs. Spacious rooms with 12 foot ceilings include a fully equipped kitchen with counter seating for 3; a separate dining room with seating for 8; and a comfortably furnished living room with sliding glass doors leading to an outdoor patio with teak table and chairs overlooking the tropical landscaped grounds and pool.
Each bedroom has a private bathroom with granite counter tops, marble floors and glassed-in showers. The Blue bedroom has a king size bed; sliding glass doors lead to an outdoor balcony shared with the living room. The Gold bedroom has a queen size bed; sliding glass doors lead to a private outdoor balcony. The Adobe bedroom has two twin beds that can be easily converted to a very comfortable King; let us know in advance and we’ll have the King configuration set up for you with appropriate linens.
The fully equipped gourmet kitchen has granite counter tops, stainless steel appliances, filtered water, and is well stocked with utensils and cookware. The adjacent laundry room has a full size washer and dryer. The living room has a large comfy sofa, loveseat and oversized chair, a flat screen TV to view cable or DVDs, and an iPod/CD player. Internet access is also available.
The main balcony is furnished with a large, round teak table and six chairs, providing the opportunity to dine al fresco while enjoying views of the beautiful mosaic tile pool and lushly landscaped gardens. Walk up one floor to the tiled, finished roof top common area to experience striking views of Cozumel and the Caribbean and dramatic sunrises and sunsets.
The developers of Palmar del Sol spared no expense in creating a lovely, private interior courtyard that is substantially larger than comparable properties, offering an enormous mosaic tile pool with a waterfall feature, a children's pool and a Jacuzzi set within a lushly landscaped tropical garden. The complex is very safe with a gated underground garage, secure entry foyer, gated private grounds and round-the-clock security. Safes are provided in two of the bedrooms.
Guests at Playa Breezes may now use the beach area in front of the beautiful Las Palapas Hotel, as well as use of the hotel's amenities including beach chairs, shade palapas and meal service.
This is a fabulous location on 5th Avenue, walkable to great restaurants, beach cafes, gelaterias, a nearby fitness center, several excellent day spas and boutique shops. There is even a Starbucks located one block away!
Playabreezes is owned by 3 couples living in the Sierra Foothills community of Nevada City, in Northern California: Alan and Sue Weisberg, Bob and Debby Plass and Steve and Wendy Orlik. Alan is a consultant with U.C. Berkeley, Sue is a social worker, Bob is an emergency room doctor, Debbie is a professional in the health care industry, Steve is a real estate appraiser and Wendy is a professional in high tech.
We all love different aspects of our time spent at Playabreezes. Alan spends the early morning hours walking on the beach, practicing his Spanish to everyone he meets along the way. Debbie and Wendy look forward to daily workouts at the world class fitness center just around the corner. Bob and Steve compete to find the best restaurants...but they have completely different criteria. Steve is looking for good value and Bob is on a mission to find the best margarita. We all enjoy whiling away the hours sitting on our patio overlooking the beautiful pool and lush tropical gardens. The ferry to Cozumel is about a 15 minute walk from our condo, where we rent scooters and ride around the island, snorkeling when we see a deserted stretch of beach. Finding the perfect balance between doing nothing and doing it all is a great problem to have!
