A real hideaway in a truly comfortable house. The elevation (about 850) is just right to be about 10 degrees cooler than the lower oceanfront properties and with our tradewinds and the intentional design with plenty of windows you have natural cool air many would envy. There is a spacious latticed lanai that extends the front of the apartment which then goes right out to the lower level yard which is also just steps from where you park -- all on one level. Situated on an acre of land, this fantastic apartment has a private bedroom with matching bed set and a full closet. Inside is a kitchenette with full size stainless steel sink and outside on the enclosed lanai is a full sized gas range with oven, a frostless full sized refrigerator, a sofa/futon, a dining table AND a picnic table. From the lanai you enter into the living room which is nicely decorated with Island Themes. A cozy retreat, a lover's nest, or the perfect place to recharge between adventures -- the choice is all yours.

  • The whole property is SMOKE FREE -- You nor your guests should smoke on the property.

    We issue you a key code so that you can enter your unit upon your arrival once you have paid for your stay.

    We prefer checks or cash to keep our costs down. We also take debit & credit cards, with a 3% charge which is our cost. If you have enough time you can mail payments -- we ask for 35 days before arrival to receive checks.
  • The rate quoted is for two people. Extra persons are $20/person/night.
    There is no surcharge for one night bookings.

    When booking, remember you are buying NIGHTS. You do not book your departure day. Please note our check in and check out times -- we often have other people departing and arriving the same day you do the opposite; if you need to occupy earlier than our 3PM check in please book a night backward; if you need to occupy past our 12 noon check out please book a night forward.


    When we send you a statement or quote the charges are clearly broken down for you to examine before you are charged or you send payment.

    If you are arriving in 60 days or less and/or if the total amount is $500 or less, the whole amount will be due in one payment.

    If your total amount is over $500 and you will be arriving in over 60 days, then you would need to put a $500 hold payment down, and then pay the balance 60 days before arrival.

  • Outside enclosed lanai usually would work for sleeping unless one is sensitive to cooler temperatures in December - February, but many people have rested fine there with a blanket. There is room in the living room for an optional roll away bed. The existing sofa in the living room would work to sleep on for a child or small adult. The bedroom with its queen bed has received many compliments about its comfort.

Check-In and Check-Out Times: Check-In time is 3PM or later, Check-out time is 12 noon or earlier. We frequently have guests coming in the same day you leave or/and vice versa. If you expect to need to remain past 12 noon the day you depart or come in earlier than 3PM the day you arrive, please book those days.

Payment Policies: We prefer checks or cash on arrival, debit and credit cards accepted with 4% fee to cover our processing costs.

We take checks as long as they arrive to us and can be deposited 35 days before your arrival.

If you are arriving in 60 days or less and/or if the total amount is $500 or less, the whole amount will be due in one payment.

If your total amount is over $500 and you will be arriving in over 60 days, then you will need to put at least a $500 hold payment down, and then pay the balance 60 days before arrival.

Cancellation Policy: All cancellations are subject to a $50.00 reservation fee deducted from any rent paid in advance. Damage Deposits, if you paid one, are always fully refunded if there is a cancellation.

We Will Refund All Rental Funds In Full, Minus A $50 Reservation Fee, Provided We Have Received Your Written Cancellation Notice Two Months Prior To Your Arrival Date.

Less Notice and we will refund only at the replacement time and amount we can re-rent your space for, if possible. We may also work with you to re-book you.

Notice of cancellation may be made by email, fax, or postal service but it is your responsibility to follow up and acknowledge we got the cancellation so we can remarket the rental as fast as possible.

A fabulously relaxing vacation but not vacation...with our pet birds!

We booked this wonderful flat for 3 nights/4 days while looking for something more permanent. We are kama'aina (locals) and I am so amazed how UNpet-friendly this island is! But Mike and Rick were so welcoming and seemed quite intrigued by our birds. We have 3 lovebirds and 1 spoiled umbrella cockatoo. The flat was very clean and inviting, very true to the pics provided. I was surprisingly pleased with how functional the outside kitchen was and we had a ball cooking! It is also within a short driving distance to stores. And the wild turkeys and peacocks were such a great surprise. Our stay there came to an end all too quickly and we were sad to go. It was so quiet and peaceful I felt like I was on vacation even when I actually wasn't! Mike and Rick were so flexible and made the whole experience a memorable one. Mike and Rick....we want to come back!!! Mahalo for all the aloha shown us by the two of you!
