Property details:
This home is surrounded by property owned by the Laurel Hill Association. LHA is one of the oldest land preservation/beautification groups in the nation established in1853. There are three hiking trails adjacent to my home. One is a wheel chair accessible 1.3 mi riverside walk. There is another up to the Laura's fire tower. The third is through a rocky glacier formed glen called Ice Glen.
Location Details: Restaurants:
We have some fine and unusual dining in the Berkshires. In Great Barrington , we have Baba Louie's with great salads and scrumptious wood fired pizzas (5 mi.- a hot spot for dining and shopping). For fine dining in GB, choose any of the following: Pearls, Castle St. Cafe (next to the Historic Mahaiwe Theatre), Cafe Adam. Ethnic foods: Bizen (Japanese), Siam Garden (Thai), Aroma (Indian - the best Indian food is in Lee at Bombay) Lenox has many more GREAT restaurants. I have my own favorite in each hamlet of this richly diverse county.
