The Area Attractions: Readfield is about 20 minutes west of Augusta just below the Belgrade lakes, which are also 20 minutes away. There is shopping and many restaurants near by. 'Funky' Hallowell is known for its antique and unique shops in a quaint village along the Kennebec River, only 20 minutes away. Colby College and Bates College are only 25 minutes. Augusta has historic sites and public golf course. Live summer theatre in nearby Monmouth, 15 minutes.
Ski: Sunday River is 50 minutes away.
