RATES REDUCED TO $135/NT--$850/WK! SEE BELOW. Overlooking historic Kealakekua Bay, Lani Iki (“Little Heaven”) is a spacious 1 plus-bedroom, 1 bath apartment with a view of forever. You can enjoy the spectacular view from all rooms of this bright, airy apartment with its cheery Hawaiian decor. The bedroom has a queen bed, and the large living area has a queen sleeper sofa, comfortable rattan seating, TV, stereo, and a tiki bar for setting up your favorite tropical beverage. Enclosed porch is set up to sleep 1 or 2 persons on futons. The kitchenette has a full-size sink and counter, refrigerator, microwave, 2-burner hotplate, large electric griddle, coffee maker, coffee grinder, blender, toaster and all the dishes and cooking utensils you will need. After May 1, we will have a 'real' stove as well. Among the many amenities are wireless Internet; cable TV, stereo with iPod dock; all bed, bath and beach linens; hot tub and off-street parking. Laundry facilities are available as well. Ask about beach chairs, boogie boards & snorkel gear.

When you step out onto the large open deck, you will fully appreciate the breathtaking view of the farmlands and lava fields that slope to the ever-changing Pacific. It’s a great place for socializing, sunning, or snoozing on one of the lounges. Enjoy cooking a tasty meal on the gas grill or having a soothing soak in the relaxing spa. Picture yourself with your favorite companion and a glass of wine, watching the crimson sun sink through the evening mist at the close of another perfect day in your Little Heaven.

You can find all the provisions you need--including fresh local produce and fish and gourmet and health food products at our local market, Choice Mart, in the Kealalekua Ranch Shopping Center just 2 minutes away. Also nearby in Captain Cook are several nice restaurants, including Mi's (fine dining) and the Manago Hotel (local flavor at its best).

About Christina or Milt

We are supposed to be retired, but since we moved to our little coffee farm in Captain Cook, South Kona, we are busier than ever. Come visit and see and sample the fruits of our labor--fresh brewed 100% Kona coffee from Keala Lani Farms or fresh-picked fruit--papayas, mangoes, starfruit, figs, pineapples, oranges, limes and much more--depending on the season, of course.

Milt's parents and grandparents were born and raised on the Big Island. We were fortunate to be able to return in 2007 to this beautiful piece of paradise. We think Kealakekua Bay is one of the most beautiful and magical places on earth. When you experience the view from Lani Iki, you will understand why we named it 'Little Heaven.'

What makes this apartment unique

The Big Island is 'da best.' There is so much to do here--swimming, snorkeling, and dolphin viewing right here on Kealakekua Bay. Nearby, there are wonderful beaches for swimming, kayaking, surfing or snorkeling and many other beautiful places to explore: valleys, volcanoes, waterfalls and historical sites. Great restaurants and shopping, right here in Captain Cook, and nearby in Kealakekua, Kainaliu and Kailua-Kona. But words can't adequately describe what we have here; you really have to experience the ALOHA for yourself!

Conveniently located in South Kona (Captain Cook), Lani Iki is less than five minutes from a large, well-stocked supermarket as well as many other shops and restaurants; it is about 35 minutes from the Kona airport. Lani Iki rests among coffee trees and tropical flowers at a comfortable 1200-foot elevation, offering its guests a tranquil resting place graced by sweet-scented breezes and birdsong. Kealakekua Bay, just 10-minutes away, is arguably the best spot on the island for kayaking, dolphin viewing and snorkeling.

Don't tell anyone about Christine & Milt's place, we are afraid that if their place is discovered we will never be able to rent it again! The view from the deck is unspeakably beautiful at about 1,200 feet over the Pacific with no obstructions over perhaps 100 degrees. The listing photos DO NOT do their view justice. We could have spent a few days just on the deck. The deck's immediate surroundings are C&M's fruiting garden, filled with delicious tomatoes, star fruits, lemons and plenty of other treats. There is even a hot tub on the deck! We loved watching geckos crawl over the deck and surrounding fruit trees. At C & M's place you will be surrounded by the sounds of nature at the end of a secluded road, yet you will be close enough to drive into Kona for a luau and you will be very close to Kona Boys Kayaks for gear rental and tours. Don't miss Annie's for delicious burgers and Up Country Bakery for refreshing smoothies. The apartment itself is very well appointed, with a collection of books, music, family pictures, and a tiki bar. The kitchen is so well equipped that you could easily whip up a gourmet meal. If you are even considering going to the Kona area of the Big Island make sure Christine and Milt's place is available and book your plane tickets accordingly!

Best Place of our Whole Vacation

Everything in the description and photos is true and more!!! We spent 7 wonderful days here. Enjoyed our morning coffee on the lanai everyday. Coffee beans grown right here, freshly ground. Went snorkeling almost everyday, then home for a nap and more lounging on our large lanai with views forever. Our private hot tub under the stars and one night in the gentle rain, amazing. This apartment was our favorite place of 7 different accommodations during our 5 weeks in the islands. We will be back for sure. Milt & Christine thank you for sharing your lovely home and making us feel so welcome. Thank you for the helpful suggestions too. Mahalo.

Your home is indeed a slice of paradice! We arrived expecting to relax and get away from a hectic life...and what we found was complete peace.
