These 2 luxury penthouse are privately owned - there should be no confusion between these magnificent properties & some other sparse holiday properties offered by others. 'Fairways',is a quiet and secure complex built in Andalusian village style. There are sub tropical gardens and an immaculate heated & lifeguard monitored swimming pool. The accommodation and resort are ideal for families and those seeking a quiet haven in which to relax. These apartments were completely refurbished in 2013. All day sun is ensured by a south-facing terraces / balconies for the one bedroom penthouse and a full sized rooftop sun decks for the two bed property. There are breathtaking views of the sea in one direction and Mount Teide volcano the other. Cool tiles cover the floor and all lounges are very spacious. Both have English TV,WI-FI, DVD & CD, radio. The kitchens are modern fully equipped with hob, oven, microwave, washing machine, toaster, etc.
There is no charge for utilities or lining.
Children's Club: There is free, professionally organised children's entertainment available most days and an outdoor child's play area with safety flooring, slides, climbing frame, swing, ping pong , table football and occasionally a bouncy castle. This is situated in a safe secure area within the Complex
Security: Fairways is a private complex and is gated. It is ultra safe and secure, but the penthouses have an electronic safe for peace of mind
Welcome Packs: If you are arriving 'out of hours' when the Supermarket is closed you will not starve as there will be a free goody pack waiting for you. t. Also there is a 24hour key collection service for 'out of hours' arrivals.
We thoroughly enjoyed our holiday at this apartment at Christmas. It was fantastic to get away as the weather was awful at home.
We enjoyed the relaxed atmosphere both day and night, with plenty to do around the pool during the day. The children always had something to occupy them, especially as the "Pool Enterterainer" always found them something to do from water volleyball to table tennis. A lifeguard was on duty all the time, which meant we could relax and enjoy the sunshine and surroundings.
At night we either use to wander down to local fish/meat restaurants by the marina to eat or stay around the complex which always offered plenty of good enteratainment.
By hiring a car, we had a good look round the Island of Tenerife which has so much to offer from some good beaches, fantastic body boarding at El Medano and water slides at the new water park - Siam Park (not be missed). finding so much to do and enjoy for all ages.
Definitely booking to come back soon, the apartment was lovely and clean with everything that we needed.
We always rent apartments via this website and this was the nicest we have ever used. The apartment was clean, well furnished and not only had the usual balcony (overlooking the pool) but also a roof terrace for private sunbathing if required.
I would recommend hiring a car as Fairways is not easily accessible by public transport and you would miss the local towns of Los Abrigos and Las Galletas and their restaurants. The complex is kept immaculate, not only the pool area but all the other public areas as well.
There is some noise from aircraft, especially on Friday's, as the complex is on the flight path but it's surprising how you get used to them.
Obviously if you play golf you will be in seventh heaven as there are two on the doorstep for you. Otherwise if you want a quiet holiday on a friendly complex then Fairways is for you.
We hadn't been to Tenerife before and were very apprehensive - I have never rented an apartment before as I prefer fully serviced hotels and Tenerife is all lager louts and disco's isn't it? Well we had a really great time at a fraction of the cost of a quality hotel. The apartment was a revalation being much larger than a hotel room and much better condition than most. How many hotel rooms have a bar b q on the terrace? Fairways has a quiet location between 2 golf courses but no public transport, so if you want to explore the island you need a hire car or take one of the excusions available from the helpful site reception.
We didn't see any trouble or drunks and everything was far more upmarket than expected. Another worry was the closeness of the airport (15 minutes away) but there was no nuisance and we slept like logs for the whole 2 weeks - bed was large and comfy.
This apartment must have the best location at Fairways and has a great sundeck on the roof. The gardens are beautiful and the pool is as good as they get, spotlessly clean putting some 5 star hotels to shame. There was plenty of restaurants but no noisy discos. If you want a restful holiday with all ameneties to hand I can recommend Fairways and having read through the coments in the apartment's visitors book I am not alone.

The Amarilla Estate is situated on the southern Costa del Silencio coast about a 10 minute taxi ride (£10) from the airport. It is perfectly situated midway between the airport and lively tourist areas of Los Cristianos and Playa las Americas. Fairways is a small private development self contained with a friendly village atmosphere. Built in Andulucian style it is situated in the middle of two lush championship golf courses. It is gated for security and exclusivity. Twenty miles to the north is the Mount Tiede volcano and a hundred yards to the south is the rugged Atlantic coast with dramatic walks. Here the beaches are shingle, but a short distance away in either direction, are safe sandy ones. On site there is a quality restaurant, several bars and car hire facilities. Adjacent there is a supermarket, a laundry, a take away, video hire and a sports bar. Additionally there is a 24-hour British representative on hand to help with any emergencies,queries,excursions or money changing.
