Come and tour our 'Land of Waterfalls'! Area attractions include our Blue Ridge Mountain Parkway, Biltmore Mansion, rafting-kayaking-fishing down the French Broad and Davidson rivers and lakes Jocassee and Toxaway. Children will enjoy our Cradle of Forestry and the Fish Hatchery! There are many premier biking and hiking trails in our seven state parks including Gorges, Pisgah, Dupont, Caesars Head, Natahala, Great Smoky Mountain, and the Blue Ridge Mountains. Brevard and Asheville offer shops and antiquing, restaurants, seasonal festivals, and more. The log cabin has two bedrooms, two baths, a loft with a futon, an open two story sitting room, separate dining and kitchen, and an open two story sunroom/den. This large room is marked with a 20 foot stacked river rock fireplace (from our stream) seen through the 10 windows facing your approach to the property. The Brevard Music Festival 2009 starts at the end of June through the middle of August. Area attractions include the Cradle of Forestry in Pisgah National Forrest, Pisgah Center for Wildlife Education, Fish Hatchery, Davidson and French Broad Rivers, 'Land of 250 Waterfalls' touring, Sliding rock (children will enjoy the smooth rock slide), Allison Deever House, the Carl Sandburg House, Chimney Rock, Blue Ridge Parkway, Flat Rock, Lake Lure, Trolley Tours, Snow skiing, Antiquing, Crafts shows, and more. Don't miss the Biltmore Mansion! Spend the day at the Biltmore viewing the house and gardens, enjoy the eateries and shops, and don't forget the winery and its own special store. Children will enjoy a picnic near a pond or stream on the Biltmore's forested grounds. Brevard, Hendersonville, and Asheville all have a wonderful selection of restaurants from pubs and pizza to fine dining.

  • Daily rates reduced starting from $175 ; 2-3 night minimum; weekly rates from $1000 to $1750
  • Rates depend on the season and holiday. Payment by check is preferred if possible. 50% of the rent is required to confirm the reservation with a refundable security deposit of $200 and the cleaning fee. The balance of the total rent, plus tax, is due 45 days prior to arrival. Our cancellation policy requires 45 days notice before the date of your arrival to allow time for re booking.

Notes: Our mountain water is fabulous! The waterfall has its own seating area for an unbelievable view of this private gem. You will hear the sound of rushing water and birds singing as you swing and rest in the garden hammock. There is 15000 + square feet of grass that is green all year long. Smoking is allowed outside with proper disposal of trash. Pets will be considered with a nightly/weekly extra charge. Monthly renters please inquire for rate.

Fun for the boys and relaxing for us!

What a beautiful place. The boys had such great adventures climbing hills and playing in the creeks and waterfalls. We have shared your site with a few of our friends as well. We are 'adopting the house' as OUR mountain home and will be requesting same time next year when you have the calendar available. The kids even said the vacation was better than Disney. I know for us it was a heck of a lot more relaxing... a very special home and we appreciate you sharing it with us.
Owner's Response: A lovely couple and two charming boys. They sent me a photo of the two young adventurers in front of the stream and fall colours. The cabin and property provides for joy, fun, and peace and I am so happy that they will be returning. - Stacy

Luxurious Serenity

This luxurious cabin has a European feel and is set in the gorgeous Smoky Mountains. With its own exquisite waterfall to bathe in, lots of quiet and privacy and beautiful gardens and lawn rolling down to a forest stream, it is a magical get-away. My favorite thing was sitting by the waterfall for cocktails and then grilling dinner and eating on the huge back porch in the evening to watch night fall.
A beautiful 30 minutes drive through the mountains took us to Brevard for the summer music festival and some surprisingly good restaurants. Good gourmet food is also available at Poppies.(Like Whole Foods). A bit further on we explored Asheville (which some describe of the San Francisco of the south - burgeoning art community). And visiting the Biltmore estate was like exploring a European chateau.
Add in some hiking and kayaking and you have a fabulous restful vacation.

Absolutely Beautiful!

I recently visited this absolutely beautiful property. The gardens are amazing. So lush and green as well as beautifully manicured. The sound of the water from the stream is an ever soothing sound just outside the windows. Close to the waterfall is a seating area that is wonderful to picnic at or sit and enjoy a glass of wine. I was there with my year old son and he enjoyed all the nature. The cabin is very family friendly but would also be a very romantic secluded get-away for a couple.
The owner is very accommodating and helpful in recommending places to visit.
I would (and have!) highly recommend this property to all my family and friends.
