The club cuisine features Mediterranean, Italian and Pan-Asian themes. Chef Joe Boss’ menus include prime cuts of beef, creatively assembled salads, hand-made crab cakes, and the freshest of local Florida seafood. The Aqueduct Grille is a great place to relax with friends before or after your round of golf. Our service staff can prepare your favorite drink or introduce you to a new beverage selection. Lunch is served Tuesday - Sunday; breakfast and dinner are served on weekends. While dining in the Aqueduct Grille, you can also enjoy the big game or golf tournament on our televisions. To see Golden Hills Golf and Turf Club is to experience the embodiment of the Castro family’s great devotion to Ocala. Sharing their sense of quality with others ultimately resulted in the development of the Golden Hills Golf & Turf Club, creating Marion County’s first private club. Breaking ground in mid-1963, the club attracted notable thoroughbred breeders to its initial Board. Heavyweight Boxing Champion Rocky Marciano was also a Founding Member. Once deeded to its membership, the club returned to the Castro family interests in 2002 through a partnership forged between Bernadette Castro and golf architect Rees Jones. The stately colonial clubhouse has been rejuvenated to feature a fitness center, an enhanced Olympic-sized swimming pool, a state-of-the-art golf shop, the elegant Belmont Ballroom that seats 250 guests, as well as smaller, private dining areas throughout the gracious building.
Elected to host the 2009 U.S. Women’s Mid-Amateur Championship conducted by the USGA, the undulating fairways of Golden Hill’s 18-hole golf course designed by renowned architect Rees Jones truly accentuates the natural beauty of Marion County. The course routing bends through century-old oak trees. Beginning at the first tee looking down to an approachable green, the golf course guides players through dramatic slopes, challenging bunkers, and fantastic vistas. At Golden Hills, there are no distractions, just the camaraderie of friends and a golf course test that encourages new heights of skill from the novice to the professional. The stately Southern Colonial Clubhouse at Golden Hills Golf & Turf Club is the center of activity in the community. The two-story facility is currently undergoing improvements and features an fully-equipped golf shop, a renovated pool area, a new fitness center, and multiple dining areas.
