If you are looking for a house near the village or a town, with shops and supermarket behind the corner street, and a lot of people around…sorry, this is not for the place you.
But if you are looking for an amazing and uncontaminated corner of Tropical Paradise, in one of the most beautiful bay in the wold (Rincon Beach). Private accommodation, just 2 steps from a wonderful beaches all for yourself, reachable by walking, Jeep or a boat… this is the right place for you!
A Suv, Jeep, pick up or any car with 4x4, is highly recommended for traveling in the area.
I am a manager of the villa. I love Las Galeras of Samana village. I want to show you our Tropical Paradise, with fisher and farmer people, friendly and simple.
We give you our best to make your dreams come true.
Villa Flury offer you awesome view over Rincon bay. Perfect place to enjoy the quiet and the sounds of the sea.

is the place to fall in love, make party or friends with family or just to relax and fresh air in an uncontaminated...
Testimonial date 17/03/2008 from Mrs. Sylvie : 'We were looking for a place far from crowded resorts in a paradisaical location. Villa Flury is the right choice and photos on the advertiser website are very well representative. The villa is very functional and comfortable. It offers a magnificent view on coco trees, beaches and the see.
The Dominicans that we met at the villa (to clean the swimming pool, the house, to prepare delicious typical Dominican food, and the fishermen) and elsewhere are very nice people.
Also, the agents Sarah and Yocasty are very friendly and welcomed us very well. They arranged trips and other as we need. Every thing was perfect and we highly recommend Villa Flury for a quite stay in a wonderful place.'

I just wanted to say what a spectacular time we had in Villa Flurry this weekend. Jennifer and I really enjoyed ourselves.
I wanted you to know that the attention to detail in noted, the place was so clean and comfortable, not to mention surrounded by such amazing views.
I will be back, no doubt. It is quite possible I will pass some of the info onto some of my friends who are interested in visiting the area.
I hope you have a wonderful holiday season, I plan to be back up in that area once my parents arrive.
OK, the house is very nice, gorgeous setting, lots of fruit trees and palms around(we picked some limes from a tree nearby for Cuba Libres). Yocasty is really very very helpful, arranges everything you want and tries to even get you a good deal if you want to take a boat to town, fishing trip, etc. Although the price the locals ask is a bit much. For a 4 hr fishing trip initially we were asked $200, but ended up paying $120. Jerardo, who was taking care of the house and cleaned the pool is the guy to ask to get some fresh seafood and minor supplies(rum... we run out..).We paid about$30 for two nice lobsters and three fresh fish which he cleaned for us. If you don't speak spanish, you might have some problems communicating with locals, but Yocasty is there to help.
The beach is very nice, although you gotta be a little careful as the waves are strong and there are some rocks here and there. The best spot is the very far right of the beach(if you're facing the ocean). There's a bit of a break from waves and its private. If you got kids, or not a strong swimmer its the best place to go.
Hike to Rincon Beach was nice(Jerardo took us there and then came back to take us back). The restaurant there was just Ok though. Lobster was good, but ocean perch wasn't all that fresh we thought. On the way there you get to see a couple of small beaches, very nice.
Now on to other suggestions.. Don't go if you can't enterntain yourself. For us peace and quiet was exactly what we wanted and we'll go back as soon as we can. Bring some CD's and DVD's for evening, they only got a couple in the house and radio doesn't always pick up a station. Expect bugs and mosquitoes, so bring repellant. Bring more cash than you think is absolutely necessary, everything costs quite a bit. Try to learn at least some basics in spanish, it will help. BBQ is not what you have in N. America; you actually have to build a fire.Put EVERYTHING in the fridge, inc. bread, etc. If you don't, microscopic ants get into food. And if its ruined, you can't just run up to a corner store. DO stare at the sky at night:), its unbelievable.. and they got those bugs that glow flying around. You can request for service people to show up every second day; we did as we wanted more privacy. The town of Las Galeras is small.Italian store there is good for sandwich meat, etc. Cabs are VERY expensive.
Well, altogether its a great place and my wife and I definetely recommend it.
I am a pretty experienced traveler and I really did my research on this property. I had high expectations for our honeymoon visit to the Villa Flury and I am so excited to say our week was so far beyond all my expectations. We had an incredible trip! The service Yocasty and her team provide is outstanding. The food was excellent! The views are breathtaking! The adventures are non-stop! We had a hard time leaving the house after a week. We will absolutely be back and we are already planning on bring some friends with us next time. This house really is straight out of paradise! I strongly recommend this property to anyone looking to take a tropical vacation. Thank you so much Yocasty! We will never forget our honeymoon in the Villa Flury!
Villa Flury is a fantastic place for people who are willing to spend some days of complete relax in front of a blue sea. The house is located in a little hill with a wonderful view and in three minute walk you can reach the two beaches and choose in which one you'll enjoy a breath-taking sea experience. It is fully furnished and anything you need, you can ask to have it delivered directly at home. For those who can't miss some night life, Las galeras is only 15 minutes by car. We would recommend this house to those, who love leaving in a tropical paradise and enjoying the romantic lullaby of a wonderful sea.
If you want seclusion, quiet, unbeatable beaches, ample time to read, talk with each other, an open bright clean house with a pool and you don't need loads of external entertainment then I recommend Villa Flurry strongly.
We had a blissful time. As others have noted, Yocasty, the property manager, is a pleasure to deal with. She even trouble shot Dominican customs issues for us when we shipped diapers and baby supplies ahead of our arrival. Moreover, she's assembled a lovely team to keep the place running smoothly. We found hiring the available cook added to our ability to totally relax. There was also "Junior" who went with us on hikes (take a guide: the trails are not always clear or easy and it's good to have someone local along for safety and translation purposes). He was more than a chaperone-he was warm and even with a language barrier became our 4 year old's favorite person to hang out with. There are security and maintenance staff as well and we found them all pleasant and helpful. As has been noted, work on your Spanish. Only Yocasty speaks English well.
Other things to keep in mind:
The beaches are amazing. Playa Colorado at the hill's base is your very own, essentially private paradise. Nearby beaches each have there own qualities to recommend them (we liked Playita and Fronton) but you'll probably find yourself returning to Colorado again and again.
Travel to Galeras, other beaches and elsewhere is not "easy". We found it best to take boats to get around(about $10/per person for a one way trip to almost anywhere). The staff can arrange them. You will not be going out spontaneously to pick up anything--make sure you have all you need at the house before you arrive.
The house is spacious, bright and clean with a reasonably equipped kitchen but it has its quirks/shortcomings. While there was plenty of hot water, water pressure is very weak. There are no curtains in the bedrooms and while it isn't a privacy issue, it's a drag if you want to sleep in. You are in a rural area so at night crickets, frogs and in the morning roosters all sing to you. It didn't bother us as our days tended to start and end very early in the DR.
There was a TV with limited options but the DVD player didn't work. Best to bring your laptops to play media. The internet is off and on but gave us as much connectivity as we needed.
Do take the hour drive to eat at El Cabito. It's a special location.
We came home utterly relaxed, delighted and loved our vacation!
This was my first time staying at a beach house, and Villa Flury may have to be my perennial spot for the rest of my life. The house is perched on a hill, offering amazing vistas of the ocean and surrounding landscape. Imagine waking up, stepping onto the balcony and beholding a glimpse of paradise.
Furthermore the house is only meters away from literally your own private beach. I don't think you can ask for more. The bedroom and bathrooms are exquisitely clean and well-taken care of.
The landlord Yocasty is also ready to answer any of your questions before and after arrival. She'll set up your meals, excursions, etc.
If you're looking for an unforgettable experience in the Dominican Republic, I recommend you try Villa Flury. If you have a bigger group, then check out Villa Barkel that's also managed by Yocasty and is just as amazing.
We took our family to this idyllic location to celebrate the holidays. The pictures on the website are wholly accurate and in many ways don't do it justice. If you're looking for a secluded, quiet retreat with fantastic views, a great private beach and no worries, this is for you. If you want 24/7 entertainment and lots of nightlife, you best look elsewhere. We were a bit concerned that our children (27, 24) and their friends would become bored after a few days, but that was not the case. "Can we do this again next year?" was their refrain upon our departure.
Yocasty was extremely helpful and always available to make any arrangements such as boat hires, restaurant reservations, car rentals, etc.
Our recommendations: Hire the optional cook - she prepares wonderful Dominican meals and you won't have to lift a finger. Have food delivered to the villa. Bring someone who is fluent in Spanish - except for Yocasty, few people you'll encounter speak English (or other languages, we presume). Bring lots of sunscreen. Visit Playa Rincon (3km beach and a great restaurant on the eastern end) and Playa Fronton (great snorkeling, accessible by boat only). Dine at Le Tainos in Las Galeras one evening - gourmet food at reasonable prices. Bring good walking shoes - you can walk to Playa Rincon and Las Galeras, but with some effort. Seriously consider hiring local ground transport (even from your airport) - Yocasty can arrange and Arismendy is great. There is internet coverage, but can mysteriously slow to an unusable crawl at random periods. Bring your books, loaded iPads, Kindles or other electronic devices. Prepare to relax. You've heard about life in the slow lane? This is life stopped at the park bench - very therapeutic.
Our caveats: The road into the villa is primitive at best - you need an SUV with high clearance (better, hire Arismendy for ground transportation). It takes about 35 minutes to travel the few km from the main road to the villa, so you will not be "running out" frequently for errands, grocery shopping, nightlife, or trips to see other parts of the DR. You need to be in reasonably good shape to enjoy this villa, because the hill from the private beach to the house is quite steep. Further, the 30-45 minute walks to Rincon and Las Galeras have moderate to steep elevation changes.
Would we return? In a heartbeat.
This Villa is located in a complex called 'Colorado Project' at Playa Colorado.
At its left side starts the Beach of Rincon, very well mentioned in all the guides where you can read something about.
Playa Colorado is located at only 18 kilometers from Las Galeras village, but the only way of communication is a dirty road into a very bad condition, and it takes at minimum 30 minutes to run it.
