The 'mission-style' property is in the most affluent section of Carmel Valley (private gated area), located eight miles from Carmel By The Sea and directly off Carmel Valley Road. Carmel Valley is known for its sunshine and beautiful scenery. Some of the finest resorts and spas are located within a three-mile distance. Carmel Valley and Carmel Valley Village (2 miles away) is also the home of some of California's top wineries and restaurants.

The spacious property is very modern and has incredible views facing directly into Carmel's national forest mountains (Garland Ranch), where you will find wonderful hiking trails, waterfalls, and streams. This home even has a quiet stream that runs next to the property. It's also 1 minute from the famous 5 star resort, Bernardus Lodge.

The inside of the home has beautiful hardwood floors and high vaulted ceilings, along with huge glass windows for the sunshine and views. Upstairs you will also find a formal dining room, a breakfast dining room, the living room with a fireplace, a furnished and spacious kitchen, a pantry, and a wash and laundry room. The second floor is fully carpeted and is your bedroom and office floor with a master bedroom that has a CA King bed, gas fireplace, walk-in closet and bath with separate shower and jacuzzi tub. There are two additional bedrooms with double size beds and a shared bathroom with combined tub. And an office with a writer's desk, internet (the house has WiFi) and a leather couch that pulls out into a bed if extra sleeping room is needed. 3 of the 4 downstairs rooms have sliding glass doors that open up to the beautifully landscaped garden and backyard patio with views of the valley. Though there are homes near by along the same private gated road, the entire property has complete privacy and tranquility.

My husband, daughter and I live in Paris France where our daughter goes to school. We are American citizens, but happen to love the French lifestyle. Prior to Paris, we lived in San Francisco and Carmel Valley was our 'escape from the city' home.

Hello Kim,

We had a lovely stay at your home in Carmel. The weather was pleasant and the girls and I spent a lot of time at Garland Ranch exploring the trails there. The town of Carmel-by-the-Sea was even more charming than I remembered and while we didn't get to visit any wineries, it would be something I'd be interested in doing on another trip. I was also surprised by the proximity to Monterey, which I thought would have been a bit further away.

Dear Kim,

I didn't check email while enjoying your house. Yes, it was our daughter, who got married at Holman. We had a great time at the house. The flow of the rooms was great for having friends over for cooking out and finishing up last minute wedding projects. The weather was Carmel Valley "postcard perfect" from fog over the mountains in the early morning, light clouds in the blue sky afternoon, and cool night sleeping------every single day!

We enjoyed the Bolder Boulder poster in the den and the aspen picture in the bath.

Monica was great. It was extremely hot everywhere on Tuesday, but she was at the house opening windows and trying to cool it down. She got us new bottles for the grill and brought us more glasses. On Friday she even brought flowers!

I don't know if we will ever be having a big gathering in Carmel Valley again, but we enjoyed getting our very small family together for this special time.

I highly recommend Holman as a venue for a wedding or any special event. It is perfection.

We truly enjoyed our stay at your beautiful home. The views were outstanding and the house was a wonderful place for us to relax and enjoy. My family is looking forward to returning to your home for another reunion in the future.
Thanks for making us feel so welcome and comfortable with the fresh flowers and chocolates. I spoke with Monica by phone when we arrived but have not touched bases with her since then. Let me know if she has any questions about the home as we left it. We returned the key to the lock box and left the extra keys where we found them in the box on the table.
