Large, newly built, well appointed year round home with large dock, screen porch, deck, providing lake views and a gradual slope to water. A great family vacation spot or quiet location for couples that want to get away. Private access to full recreational lake with dock to tie off your watercraft. The west shore location allows for a spectacular sun rise and views of the only freshwater light house in Maine. Hear the haunting call of the loons. The focal point of the home is the kitchen/living/great room with its 27 foot glass wall overlooking the lake which provides access to an open deck and screen porch. The master suite loft and private bath with whirlpool, double shower and separate changing room/closet. There are 2 additional bedrooms and TV room on the second floor The 3rd bedroom with a queen size bed, and second full bath are on the main floor. The house has Pergo floors throughout. Come and enjoy 10 mile long Lake Cobbosseecontee and exceptional bass fishing.

Cobbosseecontee Lake is the central and largest in the Winthrop Lakes area. The water quality for fishing, swimming and recreational use is exceptional. The Winthrop Lakes area is close to shopping in Augusta, antiquing in Hallowell and the many summer features of the region. We are only a 45 minute drive to Freeport's L.L. Bean and other outlet stores. Ideal central location in the state for fall foliage. For winter snowmobilers and cross-country skiers, this house is ideal with many central Maine snowmobile trails in the area and 10 miles of lake to ski upon.

Water Front Description: The water front of the house is a reasonable slope to the waterfront area. At the water front, it is a steeper slope to the water. Access is gained via an 8 step railed staircase to the water and dock. The Shoreline is lined with Rip Rap (a rock layer to prevent erosion). The lake bed is a rock ledge with a modest coating of sand. The lake bed is a gradual slope from shallow to deeper water. For best comfort water shoes are recommended.

We stayed Aug. 14th - 21st the weather was hot and humid with no rain.
The house fit 10 people comfortably and is located on the lake with a dock on which we fit 2 boats. The house has a great floor plan with great views of the lake, a screened porch and deck overlooking the lake. All your food and drink needs are close by, we cooked or grilled at the house. If you like to fish , this is one of the best spots in Maine for small and largemouth bass. We made many trips over to Horseshoe cove to take a swim or swing from the tree rope to cool down. I would definately return for another stay we had a great time.
