Saugatuck / Douglas Vacation Rental cottage

We adore this cottage! We have a 1 year old son & I was amazed @ how easily I was able to child-proof the entire home. In less than 5 mins we were good to go! The 4-season room is amazing w/ its view of the backyard despite it being fall & rainy. It has a newly installed wall heater somewhat similar to a small scale gas fireplace. Arranging to stay @ the cottage was effortless & it was everything we'd hoped for & more! It came equipped w/ a number of things not even mentioned like a myriad of spices, tons of cookware (you could make a gourmet meal with the spread provided), laundry detergent (although I had my own), a few toiletries, plenty of tissue, towels, extra bedding, etc! The sofa isn't the one pictured. It is much nicer, newer, very comfy! The twin beds have wonderful mattresses, as does the master bed. Master bed is also different. It is a four-poster, all wood, incredibly beautiful set up. The street is a quiet cul-du-sac & it being a duplex takes nothing away from the privacy effect. We instantly felt comfortable in this cozy environment & left energized and renewed! I intend to return many times before the summer rush comes. I am beyond thrilled to have found this little jewel! Not only is it quite affordable, but it is lovely. I've been staying in Saugatuck for many years now & travel there about twice a month, therefore I know the prices of Inns, B&B's and motels in the area (I have stayed at about 80% of them) so I can say with total honesty, those accommodations cannot even begin to compare to the size, space, comfort & beauty of this quaint, little cottage! You truly cannot beat it! You can even see the lake from the intersection which is a stones toss away from your front porch! It is more beautiful than the photos imply. I would highly recommend this cottage to anyone interested in a refreshing alternative to costly motel and inn stays. Make your own breakfast, save your B&B money!
