Best Vacation rental ever!!! --- hands down

We initially rented this property based on the description alone, as the owner was in the middle of an extensive renovation. The only pictures we had were of the outside of the house, along with several local attractions. It was my opinion, that if the property was half as nice as they described, then it would still be better than anything we had ever rented. We were not dissapointed! This house is beautiful from top to bottom. The owner (Jennifer), and the rental agent (Marybeth), were great to work with. There is no need for me to describe the house, the description and pictures provided, speak for themselves. The location is great, and quiet as described. If you are thinking Cape Cod vacation, don't waste your time getting caught up in the rt28 traffic snarl that Yarmouth and Hyannis provide daily. There is plenty to do in the surrounding area of Sandwich without the traffic hassle. The best place we ate locally, (hands down), was Seafood Sam's (right on the Canal -- view of the Sagamore Bridge -- great sunsets). The least favorite place we ate was Sandwich Pizza. Another affirmation that the Cape is not the place to get pizza. It was simply the worst pizza I had ever had. That isn't to say we didn't venture out. We made a trip up to P Town and the National Seashore beaches (at night -- nobody there -- great sunsets). There was a day trip to Marth's Vinyard (highly recommended -- think about taking your own car on the ferry -- we rented mopeds). We hit Sandy Neck Beach (great Bayside beach, calm and super clear water,although very rocky beach). We made a trip into Hyannis one night just to walk around and shop a bit. On the best beach day of our trip (the last day), we visited Seagull Beach in West Yarmouth. Nice large, clean, sandy beach, lots of seashells --- perfect family beach (but not the best choice if seaweed bothers you). Back to the house before I run out of space --- Sick and tired of rentals with local cable only and 13" tv's? You will not be dissapointed with this large flat screen HD TV with plenty of channels. Made me really feel at home as this is something I have at home, and always miss when traveling.
