Richard & I are only the 4th owners of this historic Boulder home in 112 years. We have been on VRBO for 5 years and have hosted over 200 guests.

The home has been carefully restored and we are proud to be the next generation to carry the torch. Richard is a small business owner and I am a Doctor. The main part of the home is our primary residence, with the guest suite being completely private. You will have your own private entrance and bath as well as a fireplace and kitchenette. The home is our primary residence with the guest suite being extra space that is not needed at this time until we have children. Richard bought the home in September of 2006 just after the renovation. He was in town after an Outward Bound Excursion and discovered the home while riding a bike through the historic district. It came down to 'If I don't buy this home , I am going to regret it' So he bought it and moved from Minnesota.

Mapleton @ 17th Street. The location cannot be beat. You will be right in the heart of Downtown Boulder and be able to walk to everything. We provide two cruiser bikes with the guest suite at no additional charge.

As well, the guest suite is very private and comfortable. The architect designed it to feel like a suite in a 5 star hotel with all the amenities you would expect. Beautiful artwork & furniture. Fine linens & Towels. Washer & dryer. The home is located in a very quiet neighborhood in the historic district 4 doors down for the 'Mork & Mindy' house.

Does not get much better that this

Luv It. It was a romantic weekend away from the kids and it could not have gone better. This historic home is right in Downtown Boulder and we were able to walk to Pearl St. The guest suite; Beautiful , huge, luxurious, clean, very peaceful, private. We loved the fireplace and the bathroom was as good as any I have ever seen. The Schuh family handled everything. The booking was easy and they even accepted our Visa card.

How fortunate were we to come to town and stay in one of the nicest homes in Boulder.

I was new to town after accepting an executive position with a major firm in Boulder. The firm set up the 11 day rental for me. I loved the location to Pearl street and was able to walk to work every day. The private entrance and bathroom were also very nice. I did not stay there much besides to sleep, but everything was great. Very quiet and luxurious . Also very well maintained and clean.

Thank you so much for everything Richard and Kelly - Delightful meeting you and Maddie as well. Appreciate all the hospitality and having all of our needs met. We sure hit the weather just right ! We could not have been more pleased with your rental- in and out. Never got my grilled lamb chops, but otherwise we did everything we set out to do and then some. It was so great bringing my family together in your home. Sorry we got a little loud with the games and cards. Hugs, Dot

Clean, cozy and very comfortable

My family stayed in the property for a week and we found the accommodations everything we expected, and more. We liked how the owners communicated from the first email (answered in less than an hour) to a text message for early checkin. Everything was spelled out in a folder we found on the desk that let us settle right in. My husband put it best - " how did we land here" Saying the home is beautiful is an understatement . All I can add is that the reviews are spot on and the owners go out of their way to make sure the guest suite is ready for you the moment you arrive. The neighborhood is the best in Boulder and the owners could not be more accommodating. We like that they leave you alone. The last vacation rental we stayed at the owners made us feel very uncomfortable with all of their questions. Not here. If you need something, just let them know. If not, they are totally hands off. Nick loved the fireplace and I loved the big sub-zero fridge and the washer / dryer. On top of that - no sales tax or bogus fees that hotels always hit you for. Pearl Street is 2.5 blocks away and we were able to walk for coffee and to meet our friends who stayed at the Boulderado. We had them over for drinks one night and they could not believe what we paid to stay at one of the nicest homes in Boulder.

Perfect Boulder Location

This was the perfect place to stay for our visit to Boulder. Only a few blocks easy walk from Pearl Street Mall. Richard gave us some dinner suggestions that we're exactly what we were looking for. Definitely take advantage of the bikes since it's easy to bike around town. We highly suggest the Boulder Creek Trail. The bed was very comfortable and the unit was beautiful. Would definitely stay here again.
