House, 2 Bedrooms + Convertible bed(s), 2 Baths, (Sleeps 4-6)

Year-round, fully-furnished home located directly on the shore of Lake Pepin in Old Frontenac, MN near Villa Maria. 2 bedrooms, 2 full baths, dining area easily seats 6, great living room with unparalleled lake view and good-sized kitchen. Fireplace, decks front and back. Gorgeous lake views from dining room, living room and front bedroom. Partial view from kitchen and second bedroom. Full kitchen - stove, oven, microwave and dishwasher, dishes etc. Washer and dryer. Each bedroom has a queen-sized bed. There is a pull-out couch that sleeps two. All linens, towels etc provided.

Concrete boat landing/ramp. Wonderful location & very peaceful. Eagles, deer, tremendous views of Lake Pepin and Wisconsin bluffs. Nice beach. Approximately two miles from Frontenac State Park - lots of places to bike and walk. Golfing opportunities in all directions!

Beat the drive to northern MN by driving just 5 miles north of Lake City or 8 miles south of Red Wing. Summer (mid-June-Labor Day) weekly rentals only. Spring and Fall we rent for shorter stays - two day rental minimum. Rentals start at 3 pm and end by noon of the last day to allow time for cleaning. Weekly rentals start on Friday at 3pm until following Friday at noon)

Discounted rates in April/May and October/November.

If your schedule allows a spring stay consider the lovely April/May months with clear and refreshing days and lots of waterfowl to view. Fishing is also very good in the spring!

We now have a canoe available for guests to use! No smoking.

Why The Owner chose Lake City - Lake Pepin

This location in Old Frontenac is the most peaceful place we know of. It is located right on the beach with wonderful views of the Mississippi and a nice beach. We enjoy building fires in the evening and just enjoying the scenery. Fall and spring are wonderful seasons with lots of wildlife in view and the colors of the leaves changing are breathtaking in the fall. Summer is wonderful with quiet nights and gentle breezes.

What makes this house unique

We enjoy the peace and quiet that this location offers. I love cooking on the grill overlooking the water. Our children enjoy the water and all the amenities it offers - with boating, canoeing etc being fun for them. We like to walk and Old Frontenac is great for walking an biking. The wildlife is amazing with bald eagles being daily visitors and deer and waterfowl abounding in the neighborhood. This is the only rental we are aware of on Lake Pepin with direct access to the lake - no roads etc between the cabin and the lake!

Late at night we enjoy playing board games on the large table with the family and guests. The table actually seats 8 if friends show up for the day!

If you looking for heaven on earth, look
no further. This beautifully appointed
cottage is the perfect getaway for peace
and harmony with nature. The kitchen is
so well stocked you could have a dinner
party for 20!
The beds are so comfortable. We awoke
each morning to the sun rise and eagles
flying by the deck. This is the perfect
spot for families, or couples. We

We absolutely loved our visit to the Schrek's lake house. We saw so many beautiful birds, including eagles and pelicans, while sipping coffee on the amazing deck. It is steps to the water and we enjoyed fishing with the kids and even saw a beaver swim by. The house is comfortable and cozy....with every possible amenity. We also loved the homemade sweets that Mrs. Schrek dropped off during our stay. The National Eagle Center was also a treat. We are looking forward to returning soon for more R&R!

Perfect for a couple or a family of 6. Quiet, relaxing, and the kids are able to enjoy the lake, fishing, swimming, barges, and jet skiing. Close to the MN Zoo and Red Wing for shopping. It is a relaxing time.

We stayed at this beautiful site while our home was being built and loved every minute of it! We especially enjoyed having our morning coffee while looking out over Lake Pepin. Being a golfer, I appreciated that
there are 5 golf courses within easy driving distance of Frontenac! We also enjoyed walking along the country roads and the Lake City river walk. The cottage is peaceful, private and a comfortable place to spend time.

Perfect cabin for a couple or family of 6. Quiet,peaceful, and relaxing if you are a couple. You can watch eagles or barges going through. The kids enjoy the lake, fishing, and sandy beach. Lake City is right down the road, to run and get groceries. Red Wing and Wabasha is not far to spend a few hours touring the cities. Also Minnesota zoo is less than 2hours away. Perfect get away for our family.
