Best of the beach plus great fishing, crabbing and boating on Little Lagoon. 4 BDs, 4.5BA. 2 king masters each with adjoining terrace, walk-in closet, and luxurious bath with jacuzzi tub, separate shower & double vanity. 3rd bedroom has queen bed, fourth has 2 doubles. All have televisions and comfortable beds! Welcome to the Alabama Gulf Coast! We are just west of Pensacola (the closest airport) and home of the National Naval Air Museum and east of Mobile Bay. We have beautiful sugar-white beaches and are located on a narrow stretch of beach with the Gulf on the south and Little Lagoon (a 9-mile wide salt-water lagoon) on our north. This is the best of both worlds as the lagoon offers great fishing, small boating and just relaxing and enjoying the sunset views. We have two nearby historic forts as well as charming Fairhope on the Eastern Shore. Gulf Shores is home to a range of local restaurants many of which feature incredible fresh local seafood. We also have lots of family friendly attractions including amusement and water parks, a concert amphitheater, a number of historic attractions, an upscale outlet mall, a range of fishing, boating and outdoor activities and 9 signature golf courses.

Local Attractions: We have a waterpark, zoo (featured in the Animal Planet series The Little Zoo That Could), several amusement parks, good golf courses, in-shore and off-shore fishing, and more. Nearby are two historic civil war forts, The National Naval Air Museum, Battleship Park (where you can tour a WWII battleship) several wildlife preserve areas and more. There is a major outlet mall about 10 miles north in Foley. The Wharf, a new development near us on the Intercoastal Waterway offers an array of restaurants, shops, a large Ferris wheel, movie theater, concert amphitheater and marina. They frequently have something going on including holiday celebrations, boat shows, etc and it is also just a nice place to walk around. Gulf Shores is very family friendly and laid-back.

Fishing/Boating: We have a pier in case you want to bring a small boat or jetskis! You can launch from the public boat launch recently built on the north side of the lagoon. We also have good fishing and crabbing from our pier or a just east of us at Lagoon Pass. The lagoon has speckled trout, croakers, flounder and more. There is a local company that will deliver a nice pontoon boat for the day, and another will bring kayaks for a day or a week. For deep sea or in-shore fishing, there are a number of local marinas where you can charter a boat, rent a boat, or take a sightseeing or dolphin cruise.

Golf: Gulf Shores and the immediate area have a number of courses that are open to the public. We have 9 signature courses within a 20 minute radius. Kiva Dunes is acclaimed as one of the top courses in the state. The Gulf State Park offers one of the most reasonably priced courses and several have afternoon special rates. Less than 10 minutes away are Craft Farm's two Arnold Palmer courses.

We were a party of 4 couples that go to Gulf Shores every Feb. I am usually in charge of getting us a place to stay. This year our stay at Mustique 1901 was really great. The views were spectacular and the rooms large and beautifully furnished. The Kitchen was a Cooks Delight. We had a problem with the TV system but Sue did all in her power to get it fixed. All of us enjoyed our stay and hopefully will be able to go back next Feb..Don't hesitate to book your vacation with Sue at the Mustique.

We were very pleased with our stay. We had been in one almost identical to this one in FL. Wanted to check out this area and like it. Weather wasn't ideal at the time we went but still a good time. Would recommend it to others--few bugs to work out yet but we realize this is a new unit. Beautiful views and decor is great.

My Family and I can't say enough about our stay here at Mustique. The Condo. was awesome. My husband and I have traveled around the world and have never stayed at a more beautiful condo. It is just gorgeous - And the Views from Mustique are just breathe taking! The Location could not be more perfect. More than that, the generosity and the personable quality from Susan and Doc are rare today. They went out of their way to see that our stay at Mustique was Perfect. I can't say enough about both of them. We will never stay anywhere else when we go to Gulf Shores. The only problem we had was getting out of bed in the mornings, due to the remarkable view from our room!!!! Thanks Again Susan and Doc for all your help and for renting us such a wonderful place.

My sister and I went to Gulf Shores to spend a long weekend. We initially had rented another property; however we found a live bat in the house! Before we got out of there we saw 5 of them. Needless to say, we got out of there!! The owner was nice enough to allow us to stay at the Mustique 1901 even though their intentions were to come and do some last minute things to the condo! We couldn't believe it when we walked in! It was just AMAZING!! My sister started dancing and said, "I love bats"!! We just got back and are already talking about going back. We felt like queens in this gorgeous condo, and will never forget our weekend!!
