Gorgeous home with walls of windows overlooking the Gulf. My Blue Heaven is directly across from the beach and also just a house over from Little Lagoon, a 9-mile wide salt-water lagoon. With our neighbors we have a great pier and gazebo for fishing, crabbing, or just relaxing. You can even bring your small boat or jet skis and keep them docked for the week. My Blue Heaven features a two-story living room, a large dining area and a great kitchen complete with granite counters, stainless steel appliances, an island with a prep sink and 30 lb ice maker and more. You'll find five spacious bedrooms plus a second floor open loft area with a sofa (sleeper), table for cards, games and puzzles and a wet bar. There is a third floor crow's nest with panoramic views that provides a great getaway. There is an elevator for those who may need it. You'll love the comfortable touches and great views--you may decide it is 'heaven' for you, too!

Welcome to the Alabama Gulf Coast! We are just west of Pensacola (the closest airport) and home of the National Naval Air Museum and east of Mobile Bay. We have beautiful sugar-white beaches and are located on a narrow stretch of beach with the Gulf on the south and Little Lagoon (a 9-mile wide salt-water lagoon) on our north. This is the best of both worlds as the lagoon offers great fishing, small boating and just relaxing and enjoying the sunset views. We have deeded beach access and a pier and boat launch on Little Lagoon. We have two nearby historic forts as well as charming Fairhope on the Eastern Shore. Gulf Shores is home to a range of local restaurants many of which feature incredible fresh local seafood. We also have lots of family friendly attractions including amusement and water parks, a concert amphitheater, a number of historic attractions, an upscale outlet mall, a range of fishing, boating and outdoor activities and 9 signature golf courses.

Local Attractions: We have a waterpark, zoo (featured in the Animal Planet series The Little Zoo That Could), several amusement parks, good golf courses, in-shore and off-shore fishing, and more. Nearby are two historic civil war forts, The National Naval Air Museum, Battleship Park (where you can tour a WWII battleship) several wildlife preserve areas and more. There is a major outlet mall about 10 miles north in Foley. The Wharf, a new development near us on the Intercoastal Waterway offers an array of restaurants, shops, a large Ferris wheel, movie theater, concert amphitheater and marina. They frequently have something going on including holiday celebrations, boat shows, etc and it is also just a nice place to walk around. Gulf Shores is very family friendly and laid-back.

Fishing/Boating: We have a pier with boat slips and a boat launch in case you want to bring a small boat or jetskis! We also have good fishing and crabbing from our pier or a few hundred yards East at Lagoon Pass. The lagoon has speckled trout, croakers, flounder and more. There is a local company that will deliver a nice pontoon boat for the day, and another will bring kayaks for a day or a week. For deep sea or in-shore fishing, there are a number of local marinas where you can charter a boat, rent a boat, or take a sightseeing or dolphin cruise.

SO enjoyed our stay at My Blue Heaven. The luxury - the roominess - the good taste in furnishings. It was fabulous. So bright and cheery. Everyone loved the extra icemaker and also the little fridge upstairs. And the elevator was perfect, really helped with our luggage and our great-grandparents.
Really loved it. We fished, we walked on the beach. One of our party even surfed! It couldn't be nicer, except if it was summer and we could have swum as well. Wait, two of our adults and one child did go swimming! In November!
We hope to return when we can all swim.

We really enjoyed The Blue Heaven House, each room had a different setting and the layout was perfect including balcony at upper level. Seemed like the owners lived there making it a point to provide everything we might need. Plenty of room for our six adult one baby crew. Close to any shopping or resturants. Talked with a some friendly neighbors and really enjoyed the bay dock as well as the ocean. My son picked the loft room with 360 view....All beach item provided even a beach pull cart,surf board, skim boards, chairs, etc. We did have to make our own sand castles...

Not a bad way to end 2008 and start 2009.. Do it again Oh Yea.....

The descriptives that we were given did not begin to describe the amenities of "My Blue Heaven". 10 members of our family made our first visit to the Gulf beaches the first week of August. The house, the shore and convenience exceeded all our expectations.

Thanks for sharing this little piece of heaven with us.
