Perfect retreat!

Husband and I wanted a quick getaway to the mountains and stayed three nights here, all arranged about a day in advance because that's when we decided to get out of town. It was a nearly-perfect match for us and it would be a great place to bring a family or small group of friends. The breakdown on beds is as follows: queen in a downstairs bedroom, queen futon, a pull-out single bed, and a loveseat in the living room, and two twin beds upstairs. There's a nice understated rustic feel to the place.
We liked the view and the privacy of lots of trees, and the convenience of the location was a big plus! I was afraid that it would get too hot inside since it was summer, but even though it got warm during the day from the sun beating down on the dark roof (outside temps got into the 80s I think), there was ample circulation from just opening the door onto the porch. In five minutes the temperature inside was perfect and we never needed to use the air conditioning. We used the kitchen a lot, since food allergies keep us from eating out much. If you plan to prep food there, consider bringing your favorite knife, cutting board, and pan if you're picky; what's there will get you through, but it's minimal and cumbersome. The small issues that came up for us were kindly and promptly addressed by the owner. We hope to have an opportunity to stay here again!
