This is what you dream about in a mountain cabin! The owners of '3 Bear Ridge' cabin present 'Happy Top Heaven' for your vacation destination! Located just 5 minutes from the heart of Hiawassee, this cabin offers end of the road privacy and awesome views of Lake Chatuge and Brasstown Bald, the highest peak in Georgia! With 3 bedrooms and 3 full baths, there is plenty of room to bring the entire family! Each bedroom features a comfortable queen-sized bed that makes for restful sleeping in your cabin getaway!

After a long day of hiking, boating, golfing, shopping, etc., picture yourself on the covered deck, listening to the rain gently beat on the metal roof as you look at the clouds roll over the mountains and lake!

Other amenities include a fully equipped kitchen, central heat and air, and two electric log fireplaces!

Hiking: The world famous Appalachian Trail is near-by (about 15 minutes by car)! Take a day-trip or or over-nighter and enjoy the great outdoors!

Boating: Access to the beautiful Lake Chatuge is free! Towns County has a public beach/playground area that the whole family can enjoy! Access to fishing and boat launching is also free!

Shopping/Antiquing: There are some great places to shop and just browse! One of the best antique malls in North GA is located in downtown Hiawassee! It has approximately 50 dealers and offers a wide variety of merchandise! Also, a must shopping experience destination is Alexander's Store located just outside Blairsville, GA. As the sign says 'Everything under the sun!' is true - clothes, fishing, hunting, furniture, and just about everything else!

Sit out on the deck and enjoy the cool evening breezes! There is local and head-lining entertainment, mountain fairs, and clean fresh air! Come, visit, relax and enjoy our cabin!

Golf: There are several great golf courses nearby! Brasstown Valley Resort offers a links-style course that challenges even the most accomplished player! It also offers great horseback riding adventures for even the most timid rider! A shorter but challenging golf course is Chatuge Shores in nearby Hayesville, NC. It offers some of the most scenic holes located along the beautiful Lake Chatuge!

  • All reservations require a $150.00 damage deposit which is refunded to you after the cabin is cleaned and everything is found to be in order (we don't expect otherwise!).

    Holidays require a minimum 3 night stay.

    Cleaning fee is $60 for up to 4 people. Additional fees apply for extra guests.

    Cancellation Policy: Full refund of cancellations received 30 days prior to arrival date. Cancellations of less than 30 days forfeit one (1) night's lodging. Cancellations of 7 days or less forfeit rental fee.

We loved this cabin so much. The view was spectacular. We were miles from Brasstown Bald, Appalacian Trail, Big Shoals Trail, Helen, Unicoi National Park, and lots more that we visited. The location was awesome. The cabin itself was a dream and wonderful for families. The adults have lots of privacy from the children for their own quiet. Pam and Jerry were very helpful and are great people. You will love the quiet beautiful mountains and lake in front of you. Thank You again Pam and Jerry.
Recommended for:  Age 55+, Adventure Seekers, Girls Getaway, Sightseeing, Families with Teenagers, Families with Young Children, Romantic Getaway

We had a wonderful time here. Pam and Jerry were very accomodating, and walked us thru the whole process of reserving our cabin thru "HomeAway".

The cabin was clean and beautifully decorated down to the last detail. So much thought put into their guests comfort! We even found skewers for shishkabobs in the drawer with the matches!.......It was just so nice to be able to unwind in such beautiful surroundings. Quiet at night........loved sitting on the back deck listening to and watching the birds/squirrels/hummingbirds, breathing in that fresh mountain air.....we never wanted to go inside!........But when we did - we experienced the ultimate in comfort. We were 5 minutes from the lake, where Jerry let us know where we could rent kayaks...........and we spent a glorious afternoon just paddling around........soaking up the high country atmosphere of the Hiawassee surroundings.So much to do in the area! Absolutely loved it! And highly recommend it. We'll go back!!!........and bring more friends! Thanx again, Pam and Jerry!!

"Happy Top Heaven" Fun!

The cabin was great. It was very comfortable with many decorative touches that gave it a very homey feeling. We found it very clean and fresh smelling. When sitting on the porch we could hear traffic from the highway, but it wasn't bad. Some big trucks were noisy. The location was convenient to many good restaurants and the Ingles grocery store.

We encountered a few inconveniences. The coffee pot leaked and we couldn't figure out how to work the microwave. There were no towel racks in the first floor bathroom and only a short one in the other bathrooms. Even so, we loved the place and would go back. There were five of us; two couples and a single widow lady, so three bedrooms and three bathrooms were perfect.

We had a great vacation at "Happy Top Heaven"!

Perfect Home Away from Home!

Happy Top Heaven was everything the listing claimed it to be and so much more!! Pam & Jerry have done an excellent job decorating for that "mountain cabin feel", but it also big enough and comfortable enough to be called a "home away from home" also. We had our family of four (includes 16yo and 20yo girls) plus one of their friends stay the week. The accomodations were perfect and so roomy thay we even had 2 more of their friends spend the night on our last night there. The guys thoroughly enjoyed the "man cave" and the girls loved the "ladies loft" :o)

We went hiking/sightseeing in North GA and NC everyday. It's an easy drive to Franklin, NC (where we played in the snow) and also to Highlands, NC. The view from all the windows is gorgeous and my husband & I especially enjoyed waking up each morning to a beautiful mountain view from our bedroom window! We would definitely recommend "Happy Top Heaven" to anyone interested in beautiful views with easy access to sightseeing.

This place has everything you need for a wonderful retreat from reality! Thanks Pam & Jerry for sharing your place with us!!

Happy Thanksgiving at Happy Top!

My family very much enjoyed our thanksgiving week at Happy Top. The cabin was in great shape, had plenty of room for our group. Except for a few cobwebs here and there the place was very clean. Beds were in good shape. A pretty decent view of the lake, although very wooded. The drive up to the cabin is a narrow road but easily drive able by non 4WD cars. This might be a weird comment but the hot water was hot! no one went without a hot shower in the morning :D

Even though the cabin is close to town while at the cabin it feels secluded and peaceful.

All the appliances and features worked great. We would definitely recommend this cabin for families we had our children 9 mos & 5yo as well as the grandparents, everyone felt comfortable and enjoyed the stay!
Owner's Response: We are so glad you had a good Thanksgiving at "Happy Top Heaven."We will get a ladder and get those cobwebs down. I noticed the ceiling fan had some on it.( I have tried to catch those little cobs building thier webs, but they seem to appear overnight!) All joking aside, it is almost time for our annual deep cleaning. That is when we do all those things we don't have time for during the regular season when we have people leaving in the morning, and more coming in the afternoon. God Bless you and your family for leaving everything so nice. I noticed you even did some laundry and that is greatly appreciated. People like you make our job so much easier.We hope you will be able to visit again.Pam & Jerry
