Great Beach Cottage

Our family rented this cottage the week of July 18, 2008
and loved it. We were four adults and three children (grandparents and parents of two girls, 7 and 3, and a baby boy, 8 months.) What a wonderful week we had! The house was just what we were looking for: perfect location in that it is off the beaten track but close enough to walk to the ferry, restaurant, grocery store, and snack bar. Just steps from the ocean beach, it was located on a very friendly block with many fun people enjoying the wonderful beach. The house, to which the website doesn't do justice, comes fully equipped with pots, pans, cooking gear, towels, bedding, window fans, and even a garlic press and a baby pool! Recently renovated, the house is nicely updated, but still on the rustic side which is to be expected in Davis Park. We were fortunate enough to have the wonderfully chipper Nancy meet us at the dock and guide us "newbies" through the whole ferry, wagon, walkway, and house-unlocking routine. It was a true pleasure from start to finish and sure to become a new family tradition.
