Photos and Description of the Harrington vacation cottage rental One bedroom plus loft. (sleeps 4), one and one half baths

On the water, on the coast of Maine, the cottage is located on a secluded peninsula called Ripley Neck. It overlooks Harrington River Bay and has spectacular views. Surrounded by hundreds of white birch, the cottage is deceptively rustic. It is in such a remote and picturesque setting, you will be surprised to find modern luxuries like as a washer and dryer and brand new appliances. The cottage comfortably sleeps four. The first floor bedroom has a double bed and there are two twin beds in the loft. One more small person could be accommodated on the futon chair in the living room. The living room has a gas parlor stove for those chilly Maine nights. There is a half bath in the loft and a full bath, with a shower, downstairs. Linens, towels and blankets will be provided. There is a gas parlor stove in the living room. The bedroom and bathroom have their own electric heat. A gas grill supplements the modern kitchen which includes a washer and dryer. Cell phones do work.

Day trips include Campobello to the north and Bar Harbor (Acadia National Park) to the south. Be sure to take in the national park's beauty on the Schoodic Peninsula as well. The area is a paradise for naturalists, heaven for photographers, writers and other artists.

This cottage has everything that anyone would want for a vacation getaway spot.
It is beautiful!! It is clean and new.
It is well furnished for comfort.
It is located on a bay that provides entertainment all day with the tide, boats and birds.
The birch trees in the photos are real..and very beautiful.
The whole expeience at this cottage was terrific!

If you would like a peaceful retreat from it all...but close enough to it all...this is the place to be!

Can't wait to visit againI
