It is close to the Dorgogne valley and Bordeaux. There are nonstop flights from Paris that land at the Limoges airport that is ten minutes from the chateau.
Less than a kilometer away from the chateau is the village of Oradour Sur Glane that is one of the most visited historical sites in France. There is a museum and a living memorial on the site of the old village that was destroyed during World War II.
