We would like to share our cabin retreat with other families that will appreciate its rustic charm combined with every day necessities. We are not located directly on the lake as the property sits on 13 acres, but there is beach access a short drive away and we do leave our canoe and 2 adult life jackets with the rental. We encourage a canoe ride out on Duncan Lake which is a spring fed lake and very quiet. There is also a beach access area for swimming and we provide directions on how to get there. We also encourage you to visit White Lake State park in Tamworth which had wonderful facilities for kids, a great beach area, wonderful swimming and a snack bar and picnic tables if you want to have lunch or bring your own lunch. Wolfeboro and Lake Winnipesaukee are a short 15 minute drive.
Adorable camp, great place!! We enjoyed every minute of R&R we were there and definitely plan to return. The owners have done a nice job leaving rustic what should be rustic and upgrading creature comforts to make one's stay very comfortable and convenient. A perfect weekend getaway!!
it was exactly what I was hoping it would be. A snowy cottage with a warm wood burning stove. Everything we needed was there. Stores are right around the corner and a few good restaurants are nearby. We can't wait to go back again. Our dog loved it too!
Place was very dirty, moldy and musty. Could smell mold and must in Bed, pillows, sheets & blankets, and bath towels, Ants were in loft area & bed. Gas grill is rotted and didn't work(so glad I had my small weber grill with me), Hot water for showers only lasted about 5 minutes, password for wifi was incorrect. How are we suppose to "clean sheets and towels" without soap??? No dishtowels or faceclothes(thank god I brought my own)to use. Place was warm and muggy all weekend, even with windows open, This place is NOT WORTH THE MONEY
Overall, the place was one of the nicest ones I have rented. For a cabin, it was fairly modern. Utilities worked, easy to find and a great location for the area. If there is a complaint, it is that there is a bit of a mold problem in a few rooms. The combination of moisture with little or no ventilation and heat mixed in allowed for mold to build up in the bedroom, shower and refrigerator. I cleaned up the refrigerator, and some of the shower, but the other areas were beyond what could be done for my short time there. It was also a disappointment to see that just a few yards away a large area of trees was clear-cut, which diminished the private tranquilly of the place a bit. However, even with these items I would still consider renting again if I was heading to the area.
The pictures are nicer than the reality. The place was only superficially clean. There was a lot of dust and cobwebs and I even saw one cockroach. The indoor garbage cans were dirty. On the plus side, it was roomy enough for our group of four. In terms of attractions in the area, there are many. We drove up Mount Washington and thought it was spectacular. Our 12 year old boys had a great time at Monkey Trunks. There is very little tourist information in the cottage, but we found a tourist info office in Conway. We had a really nice holiday at this rental property because of the amazing location. One day we drove to Portsmouth and spent the day at the ocean. So great area, but not great place. It was good enough, but with a little TLC, the place could be quite nice.
My husband stayed here with two of his friends and the first thing he text me when he got there was, wow, this place is nice! I highly recommend you choose this for your next vacation rental! Clean, quiet, close to Lake Ossipee, can't get better than that!
We stayed at Camp Redbrook for two days, and it was an enjoyable stay. It was clean, well-maintained, and a great piece of property. Very quiet, private, and close to town. And it was fairly priced. It was easy to rent, and I had good communication with the owners. I live all the way down in South Carolina, so I don't see myself coming up to New Hampshire too often, but if I do again, I will definitely stay here again, if it's available.
Centrally located near major attractions, North Conway outlet shopping, hunting, golfing, antiquing, ski areas are all short distance, as are swimming, boating, hiking, hunting, fishing, and biking. 1 Hour drive to Seacoast beaches. Grocery store and other local shopping within 1 mile drive. Grill and have a bonfire all in the comfort of your own space, for less than staying in a hotel.
