Photos and Description of the Benbow vacation house rental

Located on the banks of the South Fork of the Eel River, in the heart of an Old Growth Redwood Forest. This property is on 3/4 of an acre and is located on the outskirts of Redway, CA, a 4 hour drive north of San Francisco and 3 hours south of the Oregon border. It is in the heart of the Lost Coast area of Northern California. The winters are cool and damp, and the Spring thru Summer are hot and dry. There is always a river breeze to cool you down on those hot days. It is a 40 minute drive to Shelter Cove, which has a protected harbor and beaches that you can walk on. The Humboldt Redwoods State Park is a short drive away, as well as the famous 26 mile Avenue of the Giants scenic drive. All of your necessities can be found at the local stores in nearby Redway or Garberville. The house has a full kitchen, as well as an outdoor BBQ area. We have high speed Internet, cable TV, DVD player with lots of movies, stereo system, and water toys for summer fun. All linens are provided.

Nearest airport:   Arcata-Eureka Airport at 85 Miles
Nearest motorway:   101 at 3 Miles
Nearest beach:   beach at 17.0 Miles

There are 2 major festivals nearby each year, the Redwood Run (Harley Davidsons') and Reggae Rising. Both events have been running for 20 plus years. There is also a seasonal lake at Benbow State Park, usually late June thru September. There you will find BBQ's and water toys to rent. The steelhead fishing is usually best late Winter thru early Spring.
