Beautifully appointed 1700 foot cottage tucked in a quiet Douglas neighborhood a five minute walk to a the Douglas beach. Our 2 story cottage is just five years old and contains all the comforts of home. This enchanting cottage features a large great room with fireplace; cathedral ceilings;fully equipped gourmet kitchen with stainless steel appliances; laundry closet; spacious ceramic tiled bathrooms one with glass/tile shower; one with a jacuzzi tub/shower; 1 king bedroom, 1 queen bedroom and a loft with a queen sofa bed, all appointed with luxurious linens. Complete with central heat/air conditioning, flat screen 42' TV and DVD player. Attached garage for ease of entry.

Best Naps ever!

We had a wonderful time. Home was perfect for the two of us and the dog. Went on many walks to the lake and around the neighborhood. A lot of shopping and dining in town. Ice cream at Kilwins, beer at Mermaids watching the boats, wine tasting. Definetly will be back! New restaurant in Douglas - Fifth Season - very good! Italian. Tried to get in Everyday people cafe twice and they were unable to seat us. Strolled across street to fifth season on a hope and a prayer and boy was I glad we did.

Home was very clean and well maintained.

Home had everything we needed in regards to light easy cooking. Bought groceries up the street.

Wonderful setting at the end of the road.

We enjoyed a wonderful vacation in this home. We travel quite extensively and found this home to be extremely user-friendly. It was bright and comfortable. We used all areas of the home including the well-appointed kitchen, the dining room, the sitting room in the loft, the porch, and the back deck. It was a bonus to have our Boston Terriers in the merry mix! And the amount of deer in the neighborhood was amazing!

I would highly recommend this property to others and would consider visiting again.

The area is a great mix of outdoor activity, art and shopping. There are terrific culinary delights as well. We were fond of Hercules' Restaurant for breakfast in the courtyard. They were pet-friendly and even provided a water bowl setting for our dogs!

We loved the galleries and wine tasting events. We especially got a thrill on the Dune Ride in Saugatuck! It was one of the most unique experiences---riding on 270+ acres of sand dunes at high speeds! Our 10 year old loved it. We took the paddle wheel boat ----Star of Saugatuck II and learned about the area. We ventured on the Duck Boat as well.

Oval Beach is a wonderfully sandy beach nearby and highly recommended for families. The water is clear and the sand is fabulous. It is a great place for a picnic as well.

We loved staying in Douglas, but preferred the activities and people in Saugatuck. The merchants were very accommodating and friendly.

Overall, the vacation was terrific.

Private and Quiet!

This was a great retreat from the city. On a private drive at the end of the road, it was quiet and private. Well equipped with amenities and comforts of home. Bring the bug spray though, no screened in porch. Very short walk to the beach and great space to relax and enjoy the days and evenings. Would recommend to friends and family.
