We booked this unit at the last minute, and Esther kept in close contact and made this trip (Feb. '09) a wonderful experience for us (my husband, myself, 2 children (12 & 14) and my parents. She had us escorted from the airport (25 min. away) where we rented a car, to the unit, which made settling in, so easy. This is a condo complex with all units facing the center looking at the lazy river and crystal clear pools. This ground floor unit was spotless, cheerful, beautifully furnished with all the amenities. The full kitchen also had toaster, perfect for grilled lunch sandwiches & electric pan which was easy so we didn't need to use the stove, pots etc. The bathtowels were plush. Washer & dryer came in handy. Unit has ceiling fans and air conditioners, but at any time, if you slightly opened one of the kitchen windows and the sliding doors to the porch area, there was a wonderful cross vent breeze that made cooking delightful. The comfortable porch overlooking the pools, was a favorite spot. The grounds are meticulously groomed. There are lounge chairs and pools all along the lazy river, and we visited a different pool area every day. We also visited the Rain Forest (30 min. south); Old San Juan (40 min. west); Luqillo (15 min. east) and Fajardo (20 min. east) where we had some dinners at the 5 star hotels. (There are no restaurants on the grounds.) The "grande" grocery store is approx. 15 min. away (we stocked up for breakfast & lunches). The complex is on the public beach, with a gate between, but swimming on the north & east side of the island is a bit trecherous because of the Atlantic currents. We found the complex pool and lazy river to be more than enough and relaxing! We found our "neighbors" to be friendly, helpful, and never crowded. Truly a relaxing experience!
