Rustic Retreat has offerings for all, as close as 20 minutes away: Tweetsie Railroad, Blowing Rock, Grandfather Mountain, Banner Elk are just a few. Three ski resorts nearby await your downhill delight. This new log cabin is set in the privacy of the woods with majestic mountain views, but only 10 minutes from shopping. The drive-in garage and basement make any wet day cozy; and the large stone fireplace lends warmth to any cold morning or evening. So whether you want to just relax on the wrap-around deck, or are up for more excitement, this is the place for you!

Bedroom Setup: MASTER BEDROOM: The master bedroom is located on the first floor. It has a king size bed and a private bathroom.

GUEST BEDROOM: The guest bedroom has a queen size bed and is located on the second floor.

KIDS BEDROOM: The kids bedroom has bunk beds and is located on the second floor.

LOFT: The loft has a day bed (sleeps 2) and a sofa.

Winter Road Conditions: We do get some snow in the winter, so a 4WD vehicle is recommended. Roads are cleared on a regular basis when there is snow, but this is not guaranteed.

We were so shocked how great our views were. The cabin was cozy yet super spacious for our family of 7. Our dogs were in heaven, so glad we brought them. Really brought our family closer, with a family full of teenagers and toddlers it can be tricky.....everyone had a blast. Made s'mores in the snow around the fire pit. My teens loved the wi-fi at night and the couch in the loft under the big windows made my book all the more better. We loved venturing out with so much to see just sight- seeing but wonderful to have a super clean giant local grocery store so nearby as well. We will definitely be back, owners were wonderful and very accommodating. Well stocked clean cabin from wine openers to a pac-n-play for our baby....can't wait to go back!!!! Thanks for the GREAT memories!!!!!

My family and I stayed in this wonderful cabin throughout the christmas holiday! The cabins location is wonderful, secluded, quiet just perfect to relax. We truly got to relax and enjoy the beauty of the area. Our children got to enjoy plenty of snow and play around the house! The cabin come fully equipped with everything you'll need to enjoy a perfect family vacation.

We were very pleased with our stay at this cabin. The house was very clean, cozy and very well maintained. The kids enjoyed the big swing outside and the little toys and books that are in the house. It is very spacious and even though it was just our little family of 5, I could certainly see it accommodating two families very comfortably, maybe more! The owners were so nice and communicated with us very well. As a matter of fact I left our camera battery plugged in the kitchen and received it the mail less than a week after we returned. Also our deposit was returned very quickly as well. This is a top notch cabin and our family looks forward to returning to it very soon!

We had a wonderful time in your "cabin.". It was extremely clean, comfortable and well-equipped. We loved sitting on the front deck and listening to the sounds of nature. Everyone we encountered in West Jefferson and the surrounding area were so friendly and helpful. We enjoyed Sweet & Savory, Brick House, Blackjacks, climbing Mt. Jefferson, the Cheese Factory, Cascade Falls, the murals and frescoes,
And everything about the area.
Thank you for allowing us to share your vacation home. We highly recommend this property and the area.

My family thoroughly enjoyed our stay at your cabin. Your cabin was so clean and welcoming. The main living area is so spacious. We loved the wrap around porch. The cabin had a wonderful secluded feeling, yet it was convenient to shopping and hiking areas. I usually have a hard time sleeping in any other bed than my own, but the bed was so comfortable, that I had no problems sleeping. We enjoyed being surrounded by nature, and at the same time have internet access.
