This property is in an amazing location. It is right on the point of the lake in a gated community. It was smokey from the fires when we were there, but it was still an incredable view.
The house was very clean and well stocked. They was champagne and sparkling lemonaid waiting in the frig, soap and toothpaste in the 3 bathrooms, lots of clean towels, hangers in the closets, etc. The grandkids were happily entertained playing pool in the rec room for hours. Lots of people (neighbors only) walk around the neighborhood and visit with each other. It is like a step back in time. Very safe and friendly, like Mayberry RFD.
Only negative was large window bank (gives a beautiful view) on the westside of house acted like a heatsink, and kept the master bedroom at a minumin of 85 degrees all night. No A/C and only one litle window upstairs to vent the heat. Other than that, a great property.
Owner's Response: In response to the hot master bedroom.... due to this comment we have installed an air conditioner in the master bedroom. While the huge windows afford a spectacular view, the sun can create heat when it is shining in during the afternoon. The master bedroom is located on the very top floor and as heat rises, so does the temp in that room. With the new installation of the air conditioner up there this problem has been solved (we've already tested it). Although there is no air conditioning in the rest of the house, there is plenty of good air flow to keep things cool.
Other than that, we thank this guest for their great review! We try our best to make sure the house has everything you need for a great vacation.
