Waterscape Condos - Wonderful 7-Day Stay

This was our first trip to the Destin/Fort Walton Beach area and our family of four had a wonderful time. The Waterscape condo fit our needs perfectly. It was clean and well-maintained. The location was great --- just a few doors down from the 3rd floor garage so we had easy access to our car. There are rolling carts on every floor to assist you in getting your luggage, groceries, etc. from your car to the coondo. We ate most of our meals on the patio, which overlooked the pool area. The condo has towels for a family of six --- one body, face, and hand towel per person, which worked fine for us. Since there is a washer/dryer (stackable), we just washed towels as we needed. We did bring our own beach towels though. The kitchen is supplied with everything that you will need for your stay --- dishes, glasses, cups, cookie sheet, pots & pans, glass baking dishes, coffee maker, blender, hand mixer, a few Rubbermaid storage containers, etc. You will need to bring everything else. We didn't see any icemakers on the property, so you must utilize the one in your refrigerator. I only have a couple of constructive comments about the condo. There is no storage space of any kind in the bunk area. There is a closet, but when we opened it up we discovered the a/c unit. The other closet has the washer/dryer and hot water heater, so no storage there. We put our kids' clothes in the master bedroom dresser and closet which worked out O.K. My other comment would be regarding the master bathroom --- it's very small and has only a shower/tub combo and not a separation of the two. For condos of this caliber, I would have thought they would be separate. I think they are in the larger units. Regarding the pools and beach, I would rate them both very good. The pools were crowded, but not overly so. Keep in mind not all the units are sold yet, so once they are I see the pools areas getting much more crowded. It was nice to have a variety of pools --- lazy river, kid activity pool, little kiddie pool area, and general use pool (mostly adults). The beach was just beyond the pools and we enjoyed them being so close together. The beaches were good almost every day, with the exception of a couple when there was brown sea grass. I was disapponted that the sea grass was not raked overnight. We visited one of the Destin beaches on our last day and I can say that I saw any difference compared to the FWB beaches. All in all we had a great experience!
