Summer rate: $2,850 weekly. (7 night minimum, Sat to Sat Only).

Off season rate: $1,600 weekly (3 night minimum @ $230 per night)

Lovely, completely updated, centrally air-conditioned home located in desirable North Chatham. Just a quick drive to the Chatham Village or any of the great beaches in town. New, granite kitchen and 3 separate living areas. Basement is completely finished with extra sleeping space or to watch a DVD or workout on the treadmill. Includes a home office complete with fax machine, color printer and high speed Internet connection. High beamed family room fronts a beautiful brick patio surrounded with Hydrangea and Cape Plantings for evening cookouts. Sleeps 8: One Queen, Four Twins, and a Queen Pullout in finished basement.

Chatham in Winter: Spend a long weekend away in Chatham this winter. Enjoy the stark beauty of Lighthouse Beach and Bridge Street, stop by the Squire and enjoy the country pâté with cornichons over a glass of wine without the line, curl up with Henry Beston's 'The Outermost House' next to a blazing fire in the Captains Walk family room while the snow falls on the pine trees outside. Stop by the Chatham Bars Inn for a steaming mulled cider or for your favorite single malt. Cape Cod in the winter is like no place on earth.

Biking: Our house is a few minutes ride away from the Crowell Road entrance to Cape Cod's hundreds of miles of dedicated bikeways running through forests, marshland, rivers and coastline. You can rent bikes and helmets nearby or bring your own.

Kayaking: One of our favorite summer activities is sea kayaking. You can launch right off Scatteree beach less than a mile away from our house, or drive to Monomoy (near lighthouse beach) or Pleasant Bay.
