We are a Parisian couple. I studied English at the Sorbonne University and am working in my real estate agency which gives me the opportunity to meet many people from everywhere in France and abroad .My husband Olivier loves to restaure old buildings and decorate apartments.
Anne Bailly purchased this apartment in 2005
In order to discover Paris there is no better place than The Louvre which is the historical center of Paris where you can visit the main monuments and museums by foot and also very near from Saint Germain des Près and the Marais quarters.
It is really the very historical center of Paris and the perfect place to stay with access to major sites by foot and also a very quiet place with bakery , supermarket , small restaurants and open market twice the week.
It is also the place to be if you like fashion and shopping where you can find all the French luxury ( Hermes, Chanel, Cartier, Chantal Thomas ...)
My husband and I stayed in one of Anne and Olivier's flats in May 2013 for 9 days.
It was clean, comfortable, and in a perfect location! The metro and a super market are right nearby which we took full advantage of both! It's in the 1st arrondisement and we found with the metro so close getting anywhere in Paris was super easy.
The sofa turns into a bed and my husband and I thought it was extremely comfortable.
Any problems or questions we had Anne promptly answered and/or addressed.
Next time we come back to Paris, we plan on staying here again!!
Thanks so much Anne and Olivier!

The apartment is perfect walking location to all the major attractions - Louvre, Notre Dame, Seine river, Tuileries, Eiffel Tower, Arc de Triomphe, Champs Elysses, famous museums, St Germain/Latin qtr, Opera, Lafayette shopping centre. The apartment is also very close to the metro but we didn't use it because we walk to everything. Also the supermarket (monoprix) is just round the corner. Alexandra was very helpful and recommended very good eating places just a few streets away. It is very handy having the washing machine as part of the apartment. The stay would have been perfect if the sofa bed was comfortable - still highly recommended!
The location of this apartment is great - the subway is close by, as is the hop on/hop off tourist bus if you want to use that. There is a great stretch of restaurants close by as well. However, I didn't think any touristy spots were in close walking distance like some reviewers stated. We loved the history and charm of the apartment and it was great to have laundry facilities. Our only real complaint was the bed. It was the most uncomfortable pull out bed we have ever experienced. We were exhausted from our travels so we thought we could fall asleep on anything but we were wrong. It cause back and neck pain for us and we are young and in shape! We were on our honeymoon so it was quite disappointing to have to sleep on the floor (that was the only way we were able to sleep at all). When I emailed the property owner about it she never responded. Given what we paid it would have been nice to be acknowledged. That disappointed us. I really think the apartment would be perfect if they just replaced the mattress.
My partner and I just returned from one month in this apartment. Where to begin? If you love Paris and are looking for a simple, but well designed and fully equipped pied-a-terre, then this place is for you. The building is beautiful, the apartment is beautiful, and the neighborhood could not be more convenient. Having been to Paris several times, this studio is by far the best value we have encountered. We will stay here again!
A marvel of European space efficiencies, the flat is possibly the best located apartment in Paris, within short walking diustance of the Louvre, D'Orsay, Norte-Dame, St. Germain, the Latin Quarter, Marais, the Garnier Opera, the Tuileries, and only a slightly longer walk to the Eiffel Tower, Arc de Triomphe, Champs Elysses and much, much more. The Metro subway system is close and easy to master, as is the bus system. My wife and I were there for a month, and the flat proved an incredibly convenient base of touristy operations.
My visit to Anne's property on Rue St. Roch was fantastic. Jasmine met me there and walked through all the details of the flat. Jasmine didn't speak any english and I have no French, so we muddled through, but it worked out fine. The flat was clean and well equiped. The bed was comfortable for a fold out and the kitchen and bath were perfect. I didn't find the stairs to be a problem. It was great to have a laundry room and the A/C worked well. The location is perfect - easy walking distance to the Louve, Notre Dame and close by to a grocery. All in all a great stay.
Our building is located in the very center of Paris and we can say that everything you could need or wish is very, very close.
