Escape the crowds of Kailua-Kona by heading up to Kaloko, on the slopes of Mount Hualalai. This cozy, rustic cabin is situated on 5 acres and is surrounded by native ohia trees and ferns. Kick back on the porch or take the beautiful trail hike just up the street. Enjoy cooler weather and the Incredible location! 10 mins to town, beaches and airport. Large studio, washer/dryer, full kitchen, queen size bed and additional queen in loft. No smoking, pets ok. Farm fresh eggs from our chickens will make a great breakfast and our dogs, cats, turkey and goat will keep you company! Let us share this piece of paradise with you!!!

A fantastic place to stay

This cabin exceeded our expectations. The location was ideal, close to Kona, but away from the crowded and busy tourist areas. This allows easy access to the city with quiet relaxing evenings.

The amenities, including a full kitchen, gas grill, satellite TV, and waher/dryer made us feel very comfortable and right at home.

Our favorite thing about this cabin was our wonderful hosts. Scott and Caroline went out of their way to make sure we were comfortable. They were helpful in suggesting local places to go to find food and great snorkling spots. We are certain to stay at this cabin on our next trip to the big island.
Recommended for:  Age 55+, Adventure Seekers, Pet-friendly, Sightseeing, Romantic Getaway

Relax up the Mountain

If you'd like to be able to access the Big Island but relax away from the plastic 'condo' atmosphere and the rush of a tourist town, then this is it. Cool, private but only 10 min from Kona and 5 min from the highway circling Hawai'i.

The cabin was 'rustic' but had all the amenities including laundry. Barbeque on either of the large verandahs or snuggle up on the large sofas and wind down. We did.
Wake up to the morning birdsong.

The owners were very warm and helpful with practical suggestions for touring the Island, fishing, snorkeling...

Great walking/mountain biking tracks in the forest close to hand - a very enjoyable experience.

Economically priced - especially when comparing against USD.

Highly reccomended.
Recommended for:  Age 55+, Adventure Seekers, Sightseeing, Romantic Getaway
