Luquillo Vacation Rental villa

Would I stay here again? Absolutely. Big, Beautiful, Quiet back yard. I had breakfast on the terrace every day (awesome). Very comfortable, clean house. The living room/kitchen layout was practical. The corner where the house sits is by far the best of all the other houses there. I had family over to see us. There must have been 10-12 of us in the terrace and everyone was very comfortable.

The furniture and kitchen appliances are adequate. Close to grocery store and Walgreens but I would not walk there. Bed was hard for me; wife had no problems with it. Great to have a washer and dryer. Few neighbors. Very quiet area. The community is private and feels very secure (there is a guard at the gated 24/7). They will charge for the parking pass. We did not use the air conditioning because it was breezy and comfortable. The owner will ask you not to run the A/C all day long.

Beautiful beach is 5 minutes walking distance; very easy walk even with 6 and 4 year olds in tow including toys, blanket, towels etc. We were there March/April and the beach was definitely NOT crowded. A few more folks over the weekend but space (and shade) were not a problem. There is a locked gate to go thru to get to the beach. The key will be in the house. Coming back, there is a shower close to the gate to wash the sand off; good for everyone, great for the kids so they don’t have sand on their toes walking back.

Pool is also walking distance. We share the pool with one other family twice in ten days, otherwise had the pool to ourselves.

The Rainforest (El Yunque) is a short drive away.
Our goal was to visit with family and spend as much time at the beach as possible so I did not try the snorkeling, scuba diving or windsurfing that is described on the website. I saw some people snorkeling at the beach but that was it. We also did all our cooking so I can’t say anything about the local dining.

Owner was very courteous and prompt with responses.
