Great beach for all ages. Absolutely, if you have a boat bring it!

Great for family vacations!!

We just returned home last weekend from spending a week at this adorable home. What a great place to take a family, especially those with small children, for a 'get away from it all' vacation. We really enjoyed the sandy beach right at the house and spent our time that week at Michigan Adventure and Lake Michigan.

The house was well stocked and had everything we needed. I loved the trip back in time with the stove/oven. Worked great though!!

The owners were great and very friendly. We will definately be back again. My kids didn't want to go home and loved spending time there. We had plenty of room for sleeping and then some.

Darling Cottage on Quiet Duck Lake

We traveled with two couples and 3 college-aged sons. The cottage was PERFECT. The property is wooded with stairs that lead to a private sandy beach with dock and fishing boat. The sandy spring-fed lake has little boat traffic and we had an idyllic view of the pristine shoreline across the lake that is a state park.

The cottage had everything we needed. It was simple but very clean and extremely comfortable. Everyone got a bed. The kitchen had all of our needs and the dining/living area is quite spacious for enjoying a meal, a book, a game, or just looking out at the view of Duck Lake. The owners clearly work hard to make sure that the cottage is cozy, comfortable and clean.

Our boys ate most meals that we didn't fix at the cottage at Whitehall's Pekadil's. Excellent deli/soups/salads/ice cream and bbq ribs and chicken on the weekend that can't be beat. Best fish (other than the fresh catch off the boat - need a license) was at Lakeside Resort about 3 miles away on White Lake. Fun night-spots were Red Rooster about 1 mile south and Hobos on the north side of Muskegon.

Best golf was Grand View north on 31 - beautiful course at a good price. Double JJ's Thoroughbred course is a must-do.

One other excellent activity was renting hybrid bikes at Powers Outdoors in Montague and riding the 25 mile Hart/Montague trail with a stop on the return at a darling dairy ... can't miss it.

The cottage was adorable. We'll we back!!
