This gated country estate, surrounded by a natural stone wall, offers expansive views of the Bay Area from the snow-capped Sierras to the San Mateo peninsula, and is adjacent to the Mt. Diablo/East Bay Regional Park with over 1000 miles of hiking, biking, and riding trails. Mountain bikes and riding horses are provided should you want to ride two-by-two to enjoy the scenery, or simply feed the horses a carrot. The estate abounds with wildlife, which you can view from the picture windows in every room or the deck surrounding the house. This magnificent, serene setting has been described by visitors as comparable to being on a perennial vacation. Very private, yet just minutes from the freeway, this 2400 sq. ft. home has tumbled marble bathrooms and cedar ceilings with pine accents; the house has beautiful antique lights and extensive use of antiques from Vermont and the Midwest, with an ambiance that says 'sit down and stay a while - you won't want to leave.' Really good time

Last month my family and I rented this western cabin, (more like a retreat) and could not have enjoyed it more. The house itself is good sized, decorated in an old western style with leather furniture, beautiful kitchen, comfortable and spacious rooms. Outside the house is a porch which surrounds it-a most comfortable place to sit in the evenings.
The grounds were the most amazing part of this property. The views are incredible, and the house is situated to see from most rooms.
We enjoyed walking the ranch, seeing the horses, just being on the property.

We held our Thanksgiving family reunion at this property. It is everything described and more. High country ranch land with spectacular views, refined rustic charm with all the comforts of home, warm helpful hosts. It's a world apart, yet not far from urban attractions (if you every want to leave!) You will not be disappointed in this unique oasis.

Our time at this property in the San Francisco Bay Area was fantastic. The property has a great view of Livermore and Dublin...especially at night.

Visibility was poor at times due to wildfire smoke blowing in from miles away and general haziness but did not detract from our time there.

Great place! Secluded in the hills but secure and pleasant.

Very close proximity to San Jose, Oakland, and San Francisco.
